Jägermeister Presents Tour With Co-Headliners UNEARTH & Chimaira

Wednesday, September 21st, 2011

Since the band’s genre defining release The Oncoming Storm, UNEARTH has continuously crisscrossed the globe, becoming one of the hardest – and most consistent – touring bands in all of hard rock. With Darkness in the Light, their fifth full-length, the quintet have delivered their most honest, powerful, and compelling statement to date, driving a fist into the collective gut of every image-obsessed metal band currently cluttering up the landscape, and setting a new standard when it comes to marrying precision brute force and exhilarating melody.

Earning themselves Top 200 Billboard Chart entries for all four of the band’s Metal Blade releases (The Oncoming Storm, III: In the Eyes of Fire, The March, and Darkness in the Light), UNEARTH is once again prepared to take the world by storm when they hit the road this fall with Cleveland, Ohio’s Chimaira. The tour will be joined by Athens, Ohio’s Skeletonwitch and Las Vegas, Nevada’s Molotov Solution.

Jägermeister, the brand that’s synonymous with music, has a long history of supporting bands, both from a local and basement level to national amphitheater acts. The brand has spent almost two decades developing artists and has seen many go from obscurity to the top of their fields. “Both bands symbolize the attitude that Jägermeister shares with hard rock and metal music,” says Bill Henderson, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Advertising at Sidney Frank Importing Company, Inc. “Chimaira and UNEARTH have both worked with our brand for several years and it’s great that we can continue the relationship with this tour.”

“We are incredibly pleased to announce this fall’s Jägermeister tour in North America,” says Trevor Phipps of UNEARTH. “We will be supporting our new album Darkness In the Light and are anxious to play more tracks from that album. Hitting the road with us will be our old friends in Chimaira, Skeletonwitch and soon to be new friends in Molotov Solution. We would like to thank Jägermeister for supporting this tour and we look forward to seeing you all on the road! Let’s make this a fall tour to remember!!! Cheers!!!”

Tickets will be on sale to the general public starting September 23 through each venue’s ticketing outlet. Please check local listings or UNEARTH’s website HERE for more details.

Intonation-Network.com: Musician-Specialized Social Networking One-Stop Adds To Its Already Powerful List Of Services

Friday, August 5th, 2011

Launched earlier this year by Unearth guitarist Ken Susi and his brother Paul, Intonation-Networkhttp://www.intonation-network.com — is a free, user-friendly, location-based social networking site that allows musicians and music industry professionals to connect and collaborate online. This site does not attempt to replace other social networks, but instead allows for the consolidation of all your multimedia from other social networking sites into one place.

Among its host of services, the Intonation-Network allows musicians to: showcase their music, promote events, cconduct online auditions, find local teachers and/or musicians with whom to collaborate, consolidate all your multimedia from other social networking sites and even video chat with with other musicians from around the world!

Due to the steady influx of new Intonation-Network users, several new enhancements have been added to the site to make for a more enjoyable, user friendly and beneficial networking experience. These include:

A Weekly Summary Of Happenings - This will alert users about Intonation-Network happenings related specifically to their profile including announcements when new members/bands in your specific area sign up, when friends upload new music, videos and photos, when friends you know from Facebook have signed up and the number of people who have “liked” or “commented” on you or your band, etc.

Events – This is a weekly notification of upcoming events in your area (or globally depending on your desired setting).

Members Seeking Bands/Bands Seeking Members - This notification works in two ways:

1. If a user signs up or changes their profile indicating that they’re looking for a band, an email will be sent to bands seeking musicians (provided the person plays an instrument they’re looking for, etc).

2. If a band flags their profile saying they’re looking for a musician, an email will go out to all musicians seeking bands (provided they’re a match…i.e. play an instrument they’re looking for, etc). These emails go out nightly, but only if new people/bands of interest are detected.

In addition, there’s a new FREE mobile app for Android phones available HERE.

“Darkness In The Light is a maelstrom of melodic riffs, screamy shouts and enough noodling to keep Guitar Hero nerds happy. But it’s not chasing maidens and slaying dragons; Unearth have enough of the ’90s straight-edge hardcore scene still left in their blood to give the lyrics an impassioned warrior cry against corrupt politics and wavering faith.” — Alternative Press

“Tight riffing, varying from technical pedal-style patterns to twin-harmony Maiden/At The Gates worship, plus all the brutally chugging breakdowns, will surely serve to inspire many a karate kick in the pits come tour time. This is definitely music to move by… ” — Fangoria

“…powerful, has the right amount of grab to it, and definitely has the spit-filled rage lyrically that this kind of music once possessed before being softened for the mall kids.” — Pit Riff

“Darkness In The Light is a first rate slice of metal that helps return the meat to the hollowed and empty husk of the metalcore genre.” — Crave

“Whether they’re tearing up a club at a headlining gig, opening for another band on a few square feet of stage space or blasting through headphones, that unmistakable energy is always there.” — Decibel

“Darkness in the Light is the cement that will hold these dudes in place in the metalcore Hall of Fame. It’s the middle finger to all who have turned their back on this band in the last few years.” — Decoy

“If any band today can write a fresh record in a genre over-saturated with hordes of manipulators. It’ll be Massachusetts’ metalcore leaders UNEARTH.” — Metality
