TOAD: Arizona Blackened Death Rock Ringleaders Announce Tour With Agrimonia; Band To Open For Ghost B.C. Tomorrow

Arizona blackened death rock ringleaders will join forces with post-crust horde Agrimonia next month for a US run of live assaults. Set to commence November 12th in Glendale, California, The Nights Of Rites Tour will trample its way clockwise through the entire country until their final riff crushes Phoenix, Arizona on December 4th. As precursor to the expedition, team TOAD will be opening for occult rockers, Ghost B.C. in Phoenix tomorrow. The performance which mark their first show with new bassist, Dylan Thomas.

Comments the band, “We’re stoked to be playing our first show with our good buddy Dylan on bass. We’re equally as excited that this is happening on the night we share the stage with Ghost B.C.! This is their first time playing Phoenix and we’re happy to be a part of it. As if that wasn’t enough, we’re thrilled to be touring with Agrimonia, at a point when our lineup is stronger and tighter than it’s ever been. We really dig their new record and can already tell we’re gonna have a blast together. This tour came together so naturally and we know it will be unforgettable. See all of you very soon…”

TOAD will be touring in support of their epic Endless Night EP, unleashed earlier this year to riotous applause both stateside and abroad. Captured by returning producer/engineer Bob Hoag at Flying Blanket Recording in Mesa, Arizona, who worked with the band previously on their mammoth Rotten Tide EP, Endless Night‘s compelling blackened/death/punk/rock fusion is difficult to dismiss. Elaborates Cvlt Nation:The balance between the many different sounds on Endless Night is handled with great style and aplomb and it’s to TOAD‘s credit that they don’t let one genre dominate another. The influences are there to be heard yet the band throw them together in such a way as to create a unique sound and a fun as heck record to boot. From the symphonic elements of Emperor to latter day Darkthrone, to shades of Entombed, Endless Night is a rollicking and fast paced record that is steeped in horrific knowledge and a lot of attitude and arrogant swagger.” Adds The New Noise, “What we’ve got here is a group of gentlemen who don’t want to just mix punk and black metal a la Kvelertak, but who want to mix punk with black metal and trippy atmospheres, plus give it a real kick of sludge and make the whole thing as acidic as it is melodic.” The Sludgelord crowns TOAD, “the real deal in black ‘n’ roll… Endless Night is dark, scary, twisted and full of great riffs to head-bang/rock out to…,” Pitchfork gushes, “TOAD stick close to their dual strengths, dishing out sludgy doom and bludgeoning black metal in near-equal measure. There’s a strong groove coursing within their veins, though, and they’re not afraid to dial down the brutality in favor of a rollicking beat and a strong element of horror, underlined by Pete Porter’s moody organ playing,” Absolute Hell notes bluntly, “it’s thrashy, it’s heavy, it’s immersive, and it fucking rocks!,” while Metal Insider boasts, “TOAD have been able to harness all that power and primitive force that surrounds them into six tracks of blackened death ‘n’ roll. At certain points they are channeling the same evil that bands like Satyricon and Vreid are espousing. Yet unlike their European counterparts this band has a slightly more welcoming view on experimentation, for example, going so far as to harness ’70s goth and occult rock influences…”
