THE OCEAN will be returning to North America in 2014 for a co-headline run with Prosthetic Recording artists Scale the Summit. Presented by MetalSucks, the tour includes special guests The Atlas Moth and Silver Snakes and kicks, March 5th in Seattle, wraps up on Sunday, March 30th in Cambridge and includeds two dates scheduled in Austin for SXSW.
Guitarist, founding member, and main band, Robin Staps, comments: “We’re excited to return to the US with our first headline tour since 2008. A lot has happened in the meantime and the band is in a different place now, both musically as well as lineup-wise. We have played some bigger tours which came with a lot of compromises — short set, no production, rushed changeovers — so we are really happy that we’re finally gonna be able to offer our Stateside fans and supporters a ‘full’ THE OCEAN set. We will be playing Pelagial in its entirety most nights, the way it’s been written and the way it’s been meant to be performed live, as well as some Heliocentric, Anthropocentric and Precambrian tunes.”
