Entertainment One (eOne) is pleased to unveil a limited-edition vinyl repressing of One Wing, the fifth and final studio album from American hardcore unit, THE CHARIOT.
Initially released in 2012 through eOne and Good Fight Music, One Wing was described by the band as being their “weirdest” release to date. Kerrang crowned One Wing a, “weird, unconventional and utterly thrilling classic,” Rock Sound championed a, “ruthless, heartbreaking and agonizingly profound release from a truly unrivalled band,” while All Music wrote, “On One Wing, THE CHARIOT avoids the pitfalls that have caught up many a band, striking just the right balance between technique and raw fury to create a sound that is both emotionally and intellectually satisfying.” The critically lauded offering served as the band’s highest charting album of their career debuting at number 85 on the Billboard 200 upon its first week of release.
The newest vinyl edition of One Wing is limited to 800 copies in two color variants – 500 in clear with green splatter (US exclusive) and 300 in clear with orange splatter (EU/UK exclusive). Find ordering options at eOne Heavy at THIS LOCATION or THE CHARIOT Bandcamp page HERE.
Forged in Douglasville, Georgia by former Norma Jean vocalist Josh Scogin, THE CHARIOT existed from 2003 to 2013. The band played a harsh style of metalcore utilizing melodic/abrasive dynamics and harmonic vocals. They built a reputation around their powerful live performances, with Scogin’s lyrics covering topics like materialism, personal struggle, current events, politics, and religious themes. THE CHARIOT released their debut full-length Everything Is Alive, Everything Is Breathing, Nothing Is Dead, And Nothing Is Bleeding in 2004 and toured constantly thereafter. The band would go on to release their Unsung EP in 2005 followed by three successful studio albums: 2007’s The Fiancée, 2009’s Wars And Rumors Of Wars, and 2015’s Long Live. The band entered the studio in May 2012 to record their fifth full-length album titled One Wing which was released August 28th, 2012 and disbanded following a farewell tour in late 2013.
