Copenhagen-based alternative/indie rock outfit NO LIGHT has just issued a killer studio-filmed video for “I.R.W.M.A.M.W.T.O.,” which is taken from the band’s Gemini debut LP, impending release through Indisciplinarian in November. The video sees premiere via Gaffa, one of Denmark’s largest magazines.
The video for “I.R.W.M.A.M.W.T.O.” (I Really Wanna Make A Mark With This One) was created by Plastic Kid — aka NO LIGHT‘s singer Jakob Printzlau — and photographer Theis Mortenson, and the clip capturing the recording of Gemini with producer Lasse Ballade (Halshug, Solbrud) at Ballade Studios earlier this year, where the basic tracks for the whole album were recorded in just one intense day.

NO LIGHT‘s forthcoming debut album Gemini is a timeless rock record built on great songwriting and intense musical performances from a team of competent musicians. The prevailing theme of Gemini is soul searching. The ten songs circle about being caught up between youth culture and adult life and the processing of the shame, the insufficiency and the fear that comes with the changes of age. Gemini is the sound of five men who in a thematically embrace with their age and lives still have something to say in a musical form that appears forever young and essential, when carried out in such a sincere manner as NO LIGHT does it.
Gemini will be released November 25th via Indisciplinarian on vinyl and digital formats, with Earsplit Distro carrying the wax for North America. Preorders and additional audio previews of the album will be released in the coming days.
Coinciding with the street date for Gemini, NO LIGHT will play a release show at Lygtens Kro in Copenhagen on December 8th, with more shows to be announced in the coming months.
NO LIGHT Live 2016:
12/08/2016 Lygtens Kro – Copenhagen, DK *record release show
NO LIGHT is a new Danish rock band consisting of five experienced gentlemen with a past in such notable ensembles as Lack, The Fashion, and Marvins Revolt. The quintet writes honest, energetic and not at least super melodic songs that might invoke reminiscences of the 1990s’ golden age of noise rock, but also have roots in the tradition of grand ole songwriters such as Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young. The band released their self-titled debut EP earlier in 2016, but now, relatively short after the first offering, we have their debut album Gemini at hand – a timeless rock album built on good songwriting and intense musicianship.
