MANIC ABRAXAS: Ghost Cult Magazine Premieres “Domerunner” Single From Maine Doom/Punk Trio; Steve Austin-Produced Third Album, Foreign Winds, Nears September Release

As Bangor, Maine-based doom/punk/thrash trio MANIC ABRAXAS prepares to release their third album, Foreign Winds, the album’s third single, “Domerunner,” is now playing exclusively at Ghost Cult Magazine.

MANIC ABRAXASForeign Winds delivers seven thundering tracks of dirge-strewn, punk-fueled, crossover-meets-doom engineered and produced by Today Is The Day’s Steve Austin at Austin Enterprise. Joining drummer Tom Bennett, bassist/vocalist/synth player Justin Hamm, and guitarist/vocalist/synth player Dallas Seger, the record features guest vocals from Ryu Mitsuhashi on “Domerunner” and lead guitars from Ryan Curry on “Foreign Winds.”

Hamm writes with the new song’s premiere, “With ‘Domerunner’ we ask a simple question: In a world gripped in violence, would you be the hunter or the hunted? Do you have that animal switch, or would you hang your head on the block and await your uncreation? War and madness are inherent in our everyday reality; to quote the late great Philip K. Dick: ‘It is sometimes an appropriate response to reality to go insane.’”

Ghost Cult offers, “With inventive songs, a quirky style, and highly-skilled musicianship, it’s no wonder this acclaimed band is pushing through the ceiling of the underground on their new music.”

Stream MANIC ABRAXAS’ “Domerunner” now only at Ghost Cult Magazine RIGHT HERE.

Foreign Winds will see independent release on CD and digitally on September 30th. Find preorders at Bandcamp where “Red Camo Rock” and “Black Destrier” are streaming HERE.
