CATTLE DECAPITATION: New In-Studio Video Footage Posted

Monday, April 30th, 2012

In anticipation of the upcoming release of their forthcoming new studio offering Monolith Of Inhumanity, today CATTLE DECAPITATION unveils a new in-studio video clip. Check out the guitar tracking process and other CATTLE-related commentary at THIS LOCATION where you’ll also get to hear “A Living, Breathing Piece of Defecating Meat.”

Monolith Of Inhumanity is set for a North American release on May 8, 2012. Commended by Stereokiller in an early review for being “their most focused and intelligent album yet… another solid CATTLE DECAP release that proves again that they are not to be fucked with,” and noted for being “arguably the quartet’s strongest effort to date,” by Blistering, the record was produced by Dave Otero of Denver’s Flatline Audio and finds the progressive grind conjurers exploring innovative new techniques in song writing without abandoning their signature formula of confrontational audio wreckage.

In related news, CATTLE DECAPITATION is currently bringing their audio pummel to the stage on the Occupation Domination 2012 tour. The band is joined by Origin, Decrepit Birth, Aborted, Rings Of Saturn, Battlecross and more! Check out remaining dates below.

Finally, MetalSucks will be streaming Monolith Of Inhumanity in its entirety this coming Friday! Stay tuned for direct links!

SIX FEET UNDER: New “18 Days” Lyric Video Hosted By Bloody Disgusting

Monday, April 30th, 2012

Today premier horror portal Bloody Disgusting hosts the latest “18 Days” lyric video from death metal merchants, SIX FEET UNDER. The apocalyptic hymn comes off the band’s forthcoming new studio effort, Undead, set for North American release on May 22, 2012 through Metal Blade Records.

Notorious for his elegiac themes of murder, death and the supernatural, on Undead vocalist and lyrical mastermind Chris Barnes revisits topics that will be familiar to fans of the band, though as always he brings something new to the table, aware that their followers will not accept recycled ideas. Notes Barnes: “The hypocrisies of daily life, things that affect us that spawn aggression, loneliness, sadness, there’s a lot of emotions going on across the record, and I guess that the dark horror that humans cause is my niche,” However, while Barnes has a very clear vision for his craft, he is always excited by the interpretations of his songs by those who listen to them, feeding on the emotional investment they put in. “I love it when people tell me what they’ve got from the music and the lyrics. It’s like being an artist, you put the painting up on the wall – you know what it is, but sometimes it’s a little abstract and someone sees something else in it, and that’s the biggest compliment to me. That I’m able to get inside someone’s head and they actually give thought to something presented to them is inspiring to me too, and something I always want to be able to do with this band.”

Peep the “18 Days” lyric video at THIS LOCATION.

Undead was produced by Mark Lewis (Deicide, Devildriver), mixed by Jason Suecof (Whitechapel, Job For A Cowboy), at Audio Hammer Studios in Sanford, Florida and features the updated lineup of Barnes alongside guitarist Rob Arnold (ex- Chimaira), longtime guitarist Steve Swanson (ex-Massacre), bassist Jeff Hughell (ex-Brain Drill, ex-Vile), and drummer Kevin Talley (Dying Fetus, Misery Index, Chimaira). Last week Metal Blade TV aired an exclusive interview with Barnes as conducted by Metal Blade CEO Brian Slagel. To check out the interview, as well as first single, “Formaldehyde,” and limited pre-order options, point your browser HERE.

In conjunction with the release of Undead, SIX FEET UNDER will demolish the masses on a near three-week run of live rituals this June. The 18 Nights Of Blood Tour will begin in Atlanta, Georgia on June 8. Support will be provided by Dying Fetus and Revocation.

KISSIN’ DYNAMITE: Full Album Streaming

Friday, April 27th, 2012

In celebration of its official North American release earlier this week, AOL Music is currently streaming the entire new album from Germany’s sleaze rock outfit KISSIN’ DYNAMITE. Crack a cold one and get your party-hard Friday night started with all 10 tracks of Money, Sex & Power AT THIS LOCATION.

Considered to be the great hope of the German hard rock scene, KISSIN’ DYNAMITE have dominated stages across Europe since the release of their debut album Steel Of Swabia in 2008, when the singer was just 16 years old!  After winning over crowd after crowd with their energetic live show and infectious anthems, the band’s sophomore album Addicted To Metal was released by Germany’s massive AFM Records in 2010, which even featured the legendary Udo Dirkschneider (Accept, U.D.O.) on the title track.

Their success and experiences over the past few years have shaped the band and increased their professionalism in every department, which is apparent on their  third full-length, Money, Sex & Power. Here KISSIN’ DYNAMITE release ten blazing numbers which still follow the classic metal path of previous releases, yet more than before they display their very own brand of sleazy heavy rock, inspired greatly from timeless masters of the art including Mötley Crue, Whitesnake, AC/DC and Guns ‘N Roses. Money, Sex & Power showcases the band taking their authentic, raw, melodic and powerful songs to new levels, and sees them more determined to dominate the rock scene than ever before.

“…Money Sex & Power is a worthy follow up to their previous success, and shows a talented band maturing as they follow their musical path. 4/5″ – Dangerdog Music Reviews

“Big, ballsy and full of attitude, this is what good time, hard hitting Rock music is meant to sound like! 4.5/5″ – Sea of Tranquility

BEHEXEN And MANETHEREN Join Debemur Morti Productions

Friday, April 27th, 2012

BEHEXEN: DMP proudly announce their unholy alliance with Finnish devotees BEHEXEN. The as-yet-untitled follow-up to “My Soul For His Glory” was recently recorded and nine curses are now in expert hands for mixing and mastering, while the front cover is being painted by K. Lehto from Crimson Wine. CD and vinyl layouts will be completed by Babalon Graphics. If all goes according to plan, the album will be out at the end of September.[BEHEXEN On Facebook]

MANETHEREN: DMP’s endless quest to unveil treasures hidden in the deepest abyss of the underground continues with the signing of relatively-unknown duo MANETHEREN.

Forget the once old-school black metal band lurking around since 2003 and welcome this renewed entity strengthened by drummer Thorns (Nocternity, Frostmoon Eclipse, etc.). The first proof of their talent will be a colossal concept album entitled Time that will challenge the listener and carry him through the darkest corners of the human psyche. A full song has been uploaded and is now available for your listening pleasure at THIS LOCATION.

Featuring Peter Anderson (Raison D’être) on ambient/atmospheric interludes, Time is the perfect fusion between melancholic black metal and post-rock/post-metal. The album will be available in a six-panel digipack CD this Fall. Further details to be unveiled shortly. [MANETHEREN On Facebook]

BURNING LOVE Release Track From Southern Lord Debut Via Alternative Press

Friday, April 27th, 2012

Following their official singing at the turn of the new year, the final details on the first Southern Lord release from Ontario’s BURNING LOVE are this week available.

The band’s anticipated second LP, Rotten Thing To Say — recorded by Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou at Godcity Studio and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side — boasts BURNING LOVE’s monolithic brew of rock-fueled punk/hardcore with more volatile riffage and poetically-enraged lyrical content than ever before over the twelve anthems, without a doubt boasts the band’s most powerful material to date. Rotten Thing To Say has been confirmed for an official North American street date of June 19th via CD, LP and digital download.

Today Alternative Press Magazine is hosting the world’s virgin listen to Rotten Thing To Say by streaming the album’s seventh track, “Hateful Comforts.” CLICK HERE TO GET SOME!

Formed by several members of previous act Our Father and infamous vocalist of Chris Colohan (Cursed, Left For Dead, the Swarm), BURNING LOVE’s output is detached from comparisons to the members’ previous acts. A filthy rock ‘n roll-fed concoction of deafening punk/hardcore propelled by beastly riffs and Colohan’s raging, caustic vocals, counterbalanced by occasional melodious grooves run the show here.

BURNING LOVE are on the road now, headlining multiple dates throughout the Northeast, and continue to book more dates as the album draws near. Following another slew of headlining dates in early June, the band have been confirmed as one of the four main acts for this Summer’s massive Southern Lord package tour, where BURNING LOVE will tackle the US for three weeks alongside labelmates MARTYRDÖD, ENABLER and tour headliners BLACK BREATH, with special guests POISON IDEA, NOOTHGRUSH, PELICAN, POWER TRIP, WILD//TRIBE, DEAD IN THE DIRT, THE SECRET and more joining the mayhem on select dates.
