Check out “Fatal Intervention” HERE.

HAVOK are currently on tour with Wretched and Armed For The Apocalypse, ravaging cities throughout the US. Remaining dates include:

Formed in 2004, HAVOK released their debut full-length, Burn, via Candlelight Records last year. Said MetalSucks of the 12-track long player, “A little more technical, a little proggier, a little more epic, and a helluva lot catchier than the stuff their peers are playing…while every song on the album is guaranteed to give you roadburn, the songs are also dynamic, giving the album excellent replay value.” Added MetalReview: “It’s pretty simple. HAVOK’s chops are top-notch, and their creative-within-borders style of songwriting sidesteps the beer-bonged and bong-toked dufus thrash metal. That stuff gets cranked out at an alarming rate. This stuff right here doesn’t get cranked out enough.” Blabbermouth gave the record an 8/10 rating saying, “..add it to your list of ‘Essential Thrash Albums of 2009,’” while noted bluntly: “The riffing on Burn is fucking killer.”

LOCUSTA – November Shows Announced

Sunday, October 31st, 2010

Ohio progressive black/death metallers LOCUSTA, who expanded their fan base with a successful US summer tour alongside Tennessee black/doom titans Argentinum Astrum, will perform two local shows this November opening for the likes of Possessed, Marduk, Withered, and Toxic Holocaust (11/5/10) and D.R.I., Deadsea and Salvage (11/18). Further info below.

LOCUSTA Upcoming Shows:
11/5/10 Alrosa Villa – Columbus, OH w/ Possessed, Marduk, Withered, Toxic Holocaust + more
11/18/10 Newport Music Hall – Columbus, OH w/ D.R.I,, Deadsea, Salvage

Commented guitarist Dru Silver: “A big thanks to anyone that came out to see us on the west coast. Anyone who had a hand in putting the shows together, gave us food or shelter, or helped us in any way, your support was invaluable. A special thanks to those who took a chance on our band even though they may have been unfamiliar with us. We hope to see all of you again soon.”

In related news, the band has new merch for sale online. “We’re still mega broke from tour, so any support in that area would be especially awesome,” laughs Silver.  Check out the goods here.

LOCUSTA released their debut full-length via Kentucky-based Pragmatic Records upon an unsuspecting underground earlier this year. The 10-track, self-titled offering was recorded/engineered by Brian Simakis at Capital City Studios, mastered by Dan Randall at Mammoth Sound Mastering and features strikingly stark cover art by local artist Stefan Hoza. Formed in the fall of 2006, LOCUSTA take their name from a female chemist from Ancient Rome regarded as the first documented serial killer. It was rumored that in A.D. 54, she may have been hired by Agrippina The Younger to kill the Emperor Claudius, possibly with a poisoned dish of mushrooms. Currently comprised of vocalist Brad Deerhake, guitarists Peter Hughes (Night Soil) and Dru Silver, bassist Scott Hyatt and drummer Simon Tracy, the band’s painstaking DIY sensibility has found them sharing stages with the likes of Coliseum, Skeletonwitch, Finntroll, Demiricous, The Gates of Slumber, Thou and local Columbus metal veterans Deadsea.

KRIEG: New Album Out Now – East Coast Mini-Tour With Woe Begins Today

Thursday, October 28th, 2010

New Jersey henchmen KRIEG embark on their East Coast Quietly Isolated mini-tour with labelmates WOE today, celebrating a four-show romp through the region in support of their new/upcoming Candlelight debuts. The festivities kick off with a free show in Philly tonight, before attacking Providence, New York City and Boston over the next four days, including a Haunting The Chapel/BrooklynVegan-hosted show in Brooklyn this Saturday, where the doors open will open at 11:59 to mark the transition from Mischief Night to Halloween…

KRIEG/WOE Quietly Isolated East Coast Mini-Tour:
10/28/2010 Kung Fu Necktie – Philadelphia, PA
10/29/2010 Machines With Magnets – Pawtucket, RI
10/30/2010 Knitting Factory – Brooklyn, NY
10/31/2010 Ralph’s – Worcester, MA

KRIEG’s The Isolationist was only released into the general population this week, officially marking the sixth official full-length from the notorious USBM unit. The first full-length release since 2006’s heralded Blue Miasma, the material on The Isolationist supersedes anything KRIEG has accomplished to date, the twisted talents of curator N. Imperial showcased through incarnate knowledge of classic US Black Metal torment and molesting it with his own unique visionary insanity. Surrounded by a hand-picked cast of assassins for the recording of the album — including guitarist Joseph Van Fossen (Noctuary), bassist Wrest (Leviathan), and drummer Chris Grigg (Woe), and recorded/produced by Sanford Parker (Nachtmystium, Pelican, Yakuza) — Imperial has crafted an album that has reaped rave reviews from diehards and critics worldwide, and set a new standard for KRIEG as a whole.

“…a diverse album complete with cavernous tribal instrumentals, black ‘n’ roll booziness, unexpectedly fragile/expansive ambient details, and some full-on hooks…” – Stereogum

“…a fucking gem of an album – what it presents as evil, creepy and terrifying, it matches with well-crafted musical diversity. 8/10″ – Decibel

“The Isolationist sounds like a cry for help and a defiant declaration of independence. He doesn’t say he is depressed or in pain as much as he makes you feel each turbulent emotion and troubling thought. 4.5/5″ –

“As one of the longer running American Black Metal acts, Krieg has put out the blueprint for a new era of darkness while clearly showing his influences from past acts. Amazing record. 4.75/5″ – Stereokiller

Plans of more stateside touring, as well as much more news from both KRIEG and WOE are in the planning stages. For live coverage or interviews, review copies, or more info on either band, contact your local Earsplit devil.

Bill Zebub’s Insane Classic Of Perverted Plastic, DOLLA MORTE, Out Now On DVD Via Wild Eye

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

Wild Eye Releasing and MVD Entertainment Group are proud to announce the slightly anticipated re-release of Bill Zebub’s (Zombie Christ, Breaking Her Will) long-out-of-print offensive opus, DOLLA MORTE on DVD worldwide. This insane, long out-of-print, politically incorrect Bill Zebub-directed all-doll feature makes Robot Chicken look like tofu.

A masterpiece of lo-fi madness and Satanic silliness that is so disgusting and demented, it had to be filmed with dolls, DOLLA MORTE has been out of print and sought after by fans of the infamous Bill Zebub since being pulled from release in 2006 for undisclosed reasons.

As expected, nothing or no one is sacred in this special re-release of Bill Zebub’s experiment in delirious doll destruction. In the tradition of Robot Chicken and Team America, Bill Zebub’s DOLLA MORTE slaughters sacred cows using all beloved toys from childhood, conjuring up a hilarious and sickening spoof of religion, politics, pop culture and war that pulls no politically incorrect punches and leaves no sickening stone unturned.

Plus, it features all of the sex, violence and irreverence fans have come to expect from Bill Zebub, only this time with retail-quality dolls and other assorted toys at his disposal.

DOLLA MORTE pits the President of the United States against Dracula in a battle to suck all the blood out of humanity, kill the pope, and crucify as many beautiful women as possible, all on orders from Adolph Hitler and his army of killer robots!

“Too much sodomy, and not enough scathing social commentary.” – Film Threat

“Being offended by anything in this movie would be like being offended when a special-ed kid calls you ‘funny looking.’” –

• Stop, Pause, Rewind, Fast Forward movie options
• Four-color box art with shrink-wrap included
• Standard hardshell case to preserve your DVD

DESULTORY To Reissue Full Lengths With Bonus Tracks

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

Reunited Swedish death metallers DESULTORY will re-issue exclusive deluxe editions of their Into Eternity and Bitterness full lengths via Singapore’s Pulverised Records. Initially released via Metal Blade Records in 1993 and 1994 respectively, each record represents an important contribution to Swedish extreme metal history.

To commemorate these two landmark offerings, both discs will be released together with bonus tracks from three DESULTORY demos circa ‘90 – ‘91. In addition, each record, originally produced by renown Sunlight Studio owner/producer Tomas Skogsberg, will be remastered by multi-instrumentalist/producer Dan Swanö at Unisound Studio in Sweden.

Said Swanö of the undertaking: “I’ve been remastering DESULTORY’s demos and  first two full lengths. The play time is more than 80 minutes! All the material has been restored to fit nicely together in the same playlist, and it’s amazing how much a few small tweaks can change the overall sound from ‘demo’ to ‘album.’ A funny anecdote is that I ‘forced’ the band to go to the home of Tomas Skogsberg in the middle of nowhere and pick up the original DAT tapes of the demos. Maximum quality achieved!”

The front covers and inside booklets have all bean tweaked with a subtle redesign by Greek graphic artist Anestis Goudas of Derz Design (Rotting Christ, I.C.S Vortex, Shagrath etc) and come with detailed liner notes by Terrorizer Magazine writer Olivier “Zoltar” Badin, with special assistance from DESULTORY frontman/guitarist Klas Morberg.

Commented Morberg: “When I wrote these lines in late September 2010, it was exactly 21 years since the DESULTORY journey began back in 1989. As we’re now writing a new chapter in our history by releasing the new album, we would also like to tell the complete story of the past. We’re really happy to be with Pulverised Records and are able to re-release these records, both brilliantly remastered by Dan Swanö. So, for all of you who’ve been with us from the start and anyone else who wants to know how it all began…Here it is. Enjoy!”

THE OCEAN Robbed In Spain

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

On Wednesday, October 20, 2010 THE OCEAN, who are currently on tour supporting The Dillinger Escape Plan in Europe, were robbed on a highway near Madrid. Said the band in a statement: “Two guys in a black BMW pulled us over with fake police IDs. They asked for our van papers and IDs and wanted to know if we had any money to declare. We were not skeptical at this point, as it is normal in Europe that you have to declare larger amounts of money when you’re crossing borders, so we told them we had merch money with us, and the guy wanted to see it. When we showed them the merch wallet, the guy reached through the open window, seized it and ran back to the BMW in front of us, where his colleague was waiting with the engine running. Unfortunately our van and trailer don’t match the speed of a BMW, but fortunately it’s not allowed to carry guns in Europe, as otherwise we would be in jail now for shooting the guy in the face.

“We are facing a loss of + 6000 euro of merch income of the last days and fees. The exact amount is still to be determined. As some of you may or may not know, conditions on support tours are usually grim. Fees are low and barely cover expenses for van, gas, highway tolls, ferries etc. There is no accommodation arrangements, we’ve been crashing out on people’s floors for weeks. Losing more than 6000 euro is something we simply cannot afford at this point.

We are asking everyone who is planning to order Anthropocentric in the next few weeks through our shop to help out. You can do so by donating 5 Euro when you place your order. All income generated through this will make the loss smaller for us.

Everyone who donates 5 Euro will receive a copy of the police report and a Thank You card signed by all band members. We would like to thank you in advance for your support!”

You can donate at:

In related news, THE OCEAN will support Anathema on another run of Euro shows in November. Confirmed dates include:
