Freedom Conspiracy, the second collaborative album between American doom/rock icon, SCOTT “WINO” WEINRICH, and enigmatic German singer/songwriter, CONNY OCHS, is now less than two weeks from worldwide release via Exile On Mainstream Records, and today, Revolver Magazine is hosting a stream of the LP’s overcast lead track, “Drain.”
Living on two different continents does not make it easy for these dear friends to collaborate on their humbling anthems very often, but when it does, pure magic takes place. While CONNY OCHS takes to European clubs with Spring solo gigs, WINO will hit the road solo as well in two weeks, providing opening support for Black Label Society, both taking with them their own solo works as well as anthems from their impending Freedom Conspiracy collaborative LP. While the thirteen diverse tracks of Freedom Conspiracy fluctuate between tear-inducing ballads reflecting the worst of personal times, as well as slightly more upbeat jams about life on the road, “Drain” rides the fine line right between both artists’ styles coalescing in an undeniably gloomy outlook, but exclaims the desperation for better days with its powerful melodies. Both OCHS and WINO‘s unmistakable voices ride atop the dueling acoustic guitar-driven foundation, the track void of percussion, and writhing with raw human emotion.
Tune in to Revolver Magazine and check out WINO & CONNY OCHS’ powerful “Drain” now at THIS LOCATION.
Freedom Conspiracy‘s “Timeless Spirit” is also playing at The Obelisk RIGHT HERE, and the album’s “Shards” at Classic Rock Magazine HERE.
Freedom Conspiracy sees release on March 31st, and Earsplit Distro is proud to be the exclusive stateside distributor of the LP. Imported from Germany, the vinyl version is pressed on 180-gram black vinyl in a reverse board sleeve with thermographic print and an extensive booklet, the CD packaged in a mini-gatefold with booklet and matt laminate varnish. Preorders can be placed in the US right HERE and internationally direct through Germany’s awesome Exile On Mainstream Records HERE.
US fans can catch WINO providing direct solo support for Zakk Wylde and Black Label Society on a special twelve-city US tour from April 3rd through 19th, while those in parts of Europe can see CONNY OCHS performing solo live excursions across Europe.
