Durham, North Carolina dark rock harbingers WAILIN STORMS have booked a string of tour dates throughout the Northeastern and Southern US for the remainder of Summer months, still fanning the flames lit by their ill-omened debut LP, One Foot In The Flesh Grave.
Released by Magic Bullet Records deep in the 2015 Harvest Season, One Foot In The Flesh Grave delivers seven new anthems, with the singular WAILIN STORMS style of ominous, blues-soaked, creepy punk literally exploding forth from every note. Recorded and mixed at Warrior Sound by Al Jacob and mastered by Carl Saff, the album permeates a wealth of undeniably infectious hooks and harrowing harmonies that call to mind works from the likes of Samhain, Danzig, TSOL, Wovenhand, Flesh Eaters, Murder City Devils, Laughing Hyenas, Pussy Galore, Clockcleaner, and more.
WAILIN STORMS continues to infiltrate audiences across the lands, retelling these slithering tales in the flesh, with shows booked through the rest of the sweltering season. Beginning with a one-off in Chapel Hill on July 29th, the band will take to the road throughout the Northeastern US, with a lucky thirteen-city tour booked between August 18th and September 4th. The tour sees the band rolling through Blacksburg, Doylestown, Brooklyn, Boston, Kingston, Lancaster, Harrisonburg, Norfolk, Richmond, Roanoke, Newport, and ends at the PRFBBQLOU2016 Band Blast in Louisville. Less than a week after their return, WAILIN STORMS will play a Schoolkids Records Hopscotch Day Party in Raleigh.
Let WAILIN STORMS’ entire One Foot In The Flesh Grave howl at THIS LOCATION.

Invisible Oranges issued of the album, “While there’s some metal and hardcore in the WAILIN STORMS sound, it mostly simmers. There’s strength in simmering: one cooks a lobster by slowly raising the heat… Just when it reaches a fever-pitch, it ends. WAILIN STORMS don’t overstay their welcome. The way vocalist Justin Storms caws over the din reminds me of the two most recent Wovenhand records.” American Aftermath’s review called the album, “a mighty doom punk opus that will be forever stuck in the minds of all who listen to it… a catchy, doomed opus that serves as the essential first step to WAILIN STORMS eventual greatness.” Cvlt Nation posted, “One Foot In The Flesh Grave sounds like a morbid plate of hot grits covered in zombie blood. This band knows how to write songs that channel the gothic past of the south while still keeping the ghost of Robert Johnson happy. Have a dark fucking open mind – let the WAILIN STORMS blow right in, and you will not be disappointed!”
