Metal Injection is currently hosting the exclusive video premiere for “The Unsaved,” the newest visual accompaniment to New Jersey melodic death metal trio VOIDSCAPE’s debut EP Odyssey Of Spite.
VOIDSCAPE was formed in 2017 by guitarist Rob Torres, drummer Justin “Ninja” Spaeth (Tombs, Abacinate), and frontman Michael Ximenez (Replicant, Windfaerer). The band delivers a strain of death metal that is catchy yet scathing on their debut EP, Odyssey Of Spite. Here, VOIDSCAPE administers bitter-sweet leads, monstrous riffs, and verses of human despair inflicted by viscous howls. Each composition is a melancholic journey rife with introspection and heaviness. The EP was engineered, mixed, and mastered by Rob Torres at his own Frightbox Recording in Passaic, and completed with artwork, photography, and layout by Mike Ximenez.
The new video was also directed/filmed by Ximenez, who reveals, “‘The Unsaved’ is about breaking free from the cage of indoctrination and the cognitive dissonance that results from shattering your former worldview. The mind-numbing effects of propaganda extinguish one’s potential to evolve.”
Metal Injection writes, “VOIDSCAPE is here to shatter your eardrums with their new single ‘The Unsaved.’ Coupled with an equally dark music video from Ximenez, ‘The Unsaved’ is brutal through and through.”

Odyssey Of Spite is out now on CD, CS, and digital formats available at the Nefarious Industries site alongside the “Burden Of Breathing” lyric video and “Grief Eclipse” video HERE.
VOIDSCAPE will play their first live show this Saturday, April 29th in South Hackensack, New Jersey. Stand by for additional live performances to be announced in the weeks ahead.

“The tune is hyper melodic musically with Torres repeating a complex hypnotic riff over Ximenez’s growled vocals. The contrast between the two creates the tension that successfully powers the mid-tempo tune.” – Decibel Magazine on “Grief Eclipse”
“…VOIDSCAPE differentiate themselves from other melodic death metal revival acts by focusing more on catchiness and diversifying their attack — this is evident in the guitar work, which combine more traditional death metal riffs with explorative leads that let the absolutely sublime bass tone shine through, and how the anthemically delivered, anguished vocals lend themselves to killer choruses.” – Invisible Oranges
“A quick hitting five song affair, listeners can expect a sound that is aggressive while catchy, straightforward enough to keep the hooks on point – incorporating a mix of influences globally to set themselves apart from the pack.” – Dead Rhetoric
