Tankcrimes will proudly deliver the brand new LP from long-running Stockholm hardcore crust warriors, VICTIMS, with the April release of the band’s sixth album, Sirens. In a coordinated attack with the LP’s impending release, the band will return to North America preceding the street date of Sirens, with a string of West Coast dates beginning in late March.
Surging with a dozen boiling new anthems, VICTIMS delivers their first full-length since 2011’s acclaimed A Dissident LP, the band continuing to bridge slightly new flourishes into their exceptionally tried-and-trusted attack. With equal parts morose and triumphant d-beat fury, Sirens was recorded at Studio Gutterview by Fred Estby (Dismember, At The Gates, Refused) and mastered at Audiosiege by Brad Boatright (Iron Reagan, Nails, Integrity), and features the expected white-knuckled surges of angst as well as some more expansive elements throughout the album, all enshrouded in a barbed-wire vocal delivery, packed with unstoppable gang-chants and inescapable hooks.
Tankcrimes will issue Sirens on LP, CD, and digital formats on April 15th, 2016. Stand by for preorder info and audio samples of the album.

VICTIMS will also storm the West Coast North American populations on a swift tour preceding the release of Sirens. Running from March 24th through April 1st, the Swedish marauders will kick off the tour with two shows with Napalm Death and Melt Banana in Santa Ana and San Diego, then blaze a path north through Los Angeles, Oakland, Eureka, Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver. Portland will get a double-dose of VICTIMS on this run as the band has been confirmed to join that city’s appearance of the Decibel Magazine Tour 2016 with Abbath, High On Fire, Skeletonwitch, and Tribulation on March 31st.
Issued Decibel on the band’s inclusion on the tour, “Here at Decibel, we like to extol the virtues of aesthetic violence, not its physical manifestation. But with VICTIMS, you just never know… ‘Last time we played Portland, it was sold out, the cops came and there was a fight outside,’ says drummer Andy Henriksson, ‘so you never know what’s going to happen when we release the Swedish hardcorepunk tank.’ If we survive all that, Henriksson is stoked on one of the tour’s obvious aesthetic draws. ‘Tribulation is great, but High On Fire is one of the best bands out there, and I just love to see a shirtless Matt Pike.'”
VICTIMS is also confirmed for several European Summer festivals including Hellfest, Temples Fest and more, with additional tour dates to be announced in the coming weeks.

To even the most pedestrian fan of d-beat hardcore/crust punk, VICTIMS is undeniably one of the genre’s kings, their name as synonymous with the genre as Anti-Cimex, Wolfpack/Wolfbrigade, From Ashes Rise, and the like. Through an exceptionally solid but not overcrowded discography since their 1997 inception, through labels like Havoc Records, Deathwish, Tankcrimes and more the band has yielded five prior LPs, and a variety of EPs, having shared platters on splits with the likes of From Ashes Rise, Kylesa, and Acursed. In the fourteen years that have passed since those early days of rehearsals in Nypan, VICTIMS has toured internationally, heavily focused on Europe and the US extensively. Along the way they’ve experienced highs and lows, seen lineup changes and personal tragedy, they’ve been robbed in Italy and hospitalized in the USA. They’ve also played with a host of great bands, touring with the likes of Coliseum, Rotten Sound, Trap Them and The Ocean, Municipal Waste, Black Breath, and countless others, and undoubtedly made some life-long friendships. Today, VICTIMS stands as one of the most respected bands of the underground punk and hardcore community.
