VIA VENGEANCE: Cvlt Nation Issues Single From Harsh Conditions Album By Doom Metal Soloist; 3 Man 2 Band Tour Dates Posted

The first single to be issued from Harsh Conditions, the impending second album by Arizona-based doom metal soloist, VIA VENGEANCE, is playing a premiere at Cvlt Nation. The premiere of the album’s third track, “Swarmed” hits as the outfit announces its 3 Man 2 Band Tour 2016 itinerary, and Battleground Records posts preorders for the release.

The creation of solitary member Shane Ocell, drummer of Phoenix-based dynamic sludge troupe, Sorxe, with VIA VENGEANCE, Ocell handles all instrumentation and vocals, even performing the tracks himself at live performances without the use of any looping or manipulation devices.

Battleground Records will release Harsh Conditions on CD and digital formats on March 11th, 2016; preorders for the CD are now available HERE.

Beginning the day of Harsh Conditions‘ release, VIA VENGEANCE will head out on the 3 Man 2 Band Tour 2016 with support from duo, Gomi. Beginning March 11th in Flagstaff, the trek rolls through Colorado Springs, Denver, Lawrence, Chicago, Cleveland, Akron, the final show hitting Nashville on March 22nd. Just days after the tour, VIA VENGEANCE will celebrate Harsh Conditions with a release show in Scottsdale with Black Tusk and Holy Grail.

With Harsh Conditions, VIA VENGEANCE delivers forty-two minutes of pentatonic, mid-paced, sludge/doom metal, the album’s eleven tracks forming a thematic concept about Winter survival. Recorded in Phoenix by Jared Cox, as always, Ocell performs all guitars, drums, vocals, and other instrumentation on the album, outside of several special guest appearances on the album, including warm elements of piano and clean vocal harmonies by his grandmother, BJ Scott, and guest vocals and guitar by longtime friend Josh Graham of A Storm Of Light, whom also created the immersive winter elements cover artwork for the album.
