As fans of the band for many years now, having the opportunity to be a part of the team is an exciting development for us. We look forward to helping them continue to spread their music all across North America.”
TODAY IS THE DAY’s Steve Austin comments, “I’m super excited to work with my man Ethan McCarthy and the dudes at Heavy Talent. Looking forward to hitting the road in 2023 and all the good times to come with Heavy Talent all along the way.”
Stand by for new tour/live announcements from TODAY IS THE DAY over the coming months, with sporadic live events possible this Fall and major tour plans coming together for 2023.
Following the release of their acclaimed No Good To Anyone LP, released through the massive BMG in February of 2020, TODAY IS THE DAY founder Steve Austin used the downtime of the Covid pandemic lockdowns to secure the rights to every one of the band’s albums, relaunching his SuperNova Records label with the entire catalog now under his control.
SuperNova Records has reissued the entire catalog digitally and is now rolling out additional TODAY IS THE DAY back-catalog recordings, rare gems, previously unreleased material, and more from the band digitally as well as with physical versions, with the seminal 1994 album Willpower about to see a deluxe vinyl reissue, shipping in the coming days.
SuperNova will also release the upcoming fifteenth TODAY IS THE DAY studio LP in early 2023, as well as Austin’s Traditional Country/Americana album later in the year. The label is also producing records for other new acts, having released the latest album from Baton Rouge noise rock/sludge act Woorms this Spring, and a new album from New York harsh experimental act Gridfailure on the way.
