TAKE OVER AND DESTROY Enter Studio; Band To Level Southwest Terror Fest This Weekend

Phoenix, Arizona’s black ‘n’ roll death merchants TAKE OVER AND DESTROY — also known as TOAD — have completed the writing process of their full-length, tentatively titled Endless Night.

Since returning home from a victorious tour in March, TAKE OVER AND DESTROY have been hard at work in the sweltering desert heat, crafting what they’ve simply dubbed “a sonic weapon.” The scripting process was reportedly plagued by various bouts of misfortune including lost rehearsal spaces, run-ins with the law, crippling illness and death. Through perpetual negativity came a primal, chaotic source of inspiration for the collective. The malevolent energy captured on Endless Night promises to be the band’s most sincerely powerful output to date.

TAKE OVER AND DESTROY will be re-enlisting the services of producer/engineer Bob Hoag at Flying Blanket Recording in Mesa, Arizona who worked with the band previously on their Rotten Tide EP. The band will enter the studio immediately following their live occupation of the Southwest Terror Fest October 19 at The Rock in Tucson, Arizona alongside Hull, Sons Of Tonatiuh, Ladybird, Godhunter and many more [info HERE].

Endless Night serves as the follow-up to the Rotten Tide EP, released independently earlier this year. Called “angry, loud and wonderfully brash,” by This Is Not A Scene and commended for oozing analog menace” by the Phoenix New Times, the monolithic recording features the exclusive use of vintage gear from the ’60s and ’70s to create “a true rock ‘n’ roll sound.”

Further details, including release dates and future tour plans, to be announced in the coming weeks.

“Rotten Tide comes across like the bastard son of Entombed with its spit-in-your-eye attitude and brash swagger. It’s rough and raw, whilst managing to sound decently produced…it grooves, it has dark psychedelia, it’s catchy, it’s unhinged; there is a mash up of punk, black metal, crazy treble picking, utterly abrasive and yet catchy.” – The Sleeping Shaman
