France’s damage-dealers, Solar Flare Records, today dispatch Incorporate The Excess, the third LP from their country mates, hardcore/grind terrorists, STUNTMAN. The band’s rampant, noise-soaked, aggression is heavily reminiscent of turn-of-the-century pioneers Botch, Keelhaul, Deadguy, Unsane and Knut with a blistering grindcore delivery, amplified to the extreme on Incorporate The Excess, the nearly half-hour face-waster recorded and mixed by Amaury Sauvé at Studio La Senelle and mastered by Nick Zampiello and Rob Gonella at New Alliance East.
To help maximize damage, Heavy Blog Is Heavy posted a stream Incorporate The Excess, stating of the mayhem, “the band’s slightly tech/prog prowess and visceral sound makes for a gripping listen full of off-kilter rhythms and dizzying speeds. Stuntman are weird; Stuntman are brutal – everything you’d want out of a modern grind act.”
