In conjunction with Relapse’s 25th anniversary celebrations, Cleveland hardcore stalwarts Ringworm have been confirmed alongside Relapse brethren Pig Destroyer and Skinless for this December’s Denver Black Sky festival! The third iteration of the annual Relapse-sponsored fest, which will also feature Havok, Nekrofilth, Khemmis, and more, will take place on December 5th, 2015 at Denver’s Gothic Theatre.

Denver Black Sky has historically hosted a large contingent of Colorado-based artists as well as Relapse artists (including Call Of The Void, Primitive Man, Dying Fetus, Exhumed, Cephalic Carnage and many more), and this year’s lineup looks to be no different. Denver’s metal scene has blossomed into its own in recent years, and Relapse Records as well as fellow sponsor (and metal-themed brewery) Black Sky Brewery aim to showcase that growth by helping put on a metal fest in the middle of the country whose quality challenges those on either coast. Purchase tickets for Denver Black Sky HERE.

Denver Black Sky:
12/05/2015 Gothic Theatre – Denver, CO

Info/Bios:
Ringworm was spawned in 1991 from the metal scene in Cleveland, Ohio. Ever since the band’s emergence, Ringworm has garnered the immediate attention of hardcore metal fans, leading the band to spots on tour with bands such as Blood For Blood, Hatebreed, and Terror. Ringworm displays an awesome ferocity in the power of its instruments, and vocalist Human Furnace uses his voice as a tool to extract the diabolical nature of anyone who hears it. Ringworm released its latest album and debut for Relapse Records, Hammer Of The Witch, last March to widespread critical acclaim. The band has been touring non-stop since, and recently announced a pair of US tours in celebration of the tenth anniversary of its landmark 2005 release Justice Replaced by Revenge. Hammer Of The Witch can be streamed in its entirety and purchased at Bandcamp HERE.

Pig Destroyer has been hailed as, “the best grindcore act on the goddamn planet,” (MetalSucks), and for good reason. Since 1997, the band has taken the world by storm with its unique and terrifying brand of poetic, punishing grindcore. Most recently, the band reissued a remixed and remastered version of its landmark 2001 Relapse debut, Prowler In The Yard, which is available for streaming and purchase via Bandcamp at THIS LOCATION. Additionally, Pig Destroyer was recently confirmed as a performer at the first inaugural Netherlands Deathfest (by the creators of Maryland Deathfest) alongside comrades Agoraphobic Nosebleed and many other labelmates including Gruesome, Coffins and more. The event will take place in February 2016 in Tilburg; details and tickets are available HERE.

The beast called Skinless was brought forth in 1992 by guitarist Noah Carpenter with one goal: to be the heaviest band around. In 1998, Skinless released its full-length debut Progression Towards Evil, which stunned the underground, showcasing the energy that the band had become known for via its intense live performances. A deal with Relapse Records later ensued, and three more bludgeoning platters of death metal were served up between 2001 and 2006: Foreshadowing Our Demise, From Sacrifice To Survival, and Trample The Weak, Hurdle The Dead. Skinless returned to action with its classic formation in 2013 and also added a second guitarist, Dave Matthews, into the mix. A fifth full-length album, and the band’s first in eight years, detonated via Relapse in June 2015. With Only The Ruthless Remain, Skinless has returned stronger than ever with a prime slab of brutal death metal. Chock full of the band’s signature, skull-crushingly heavy grooves and technical, blasting severity, Only The Ruthless Remain has already seen widespread positive reception from publications like Decibel, MetalSucks, and Terrorizer, and is sure to be one of the most talked about death metal albums in years. Stream and order Only The Ruthless Remain via Bandcamp HERE.
