Finland’s ominous progressive metal outfit ODDLAND presents a new art video for the track “Thanatos,” the song culled from the band’s second album, Origin, which is nearing release in September via Sensory Records.

The previously released single “Hidden” is also playing at Revolver Magazine HERE.

Laser’s Edge progressive metal wing Sensory Records will release Origin worldwide on September 9th; preorders are now available through Amazon HERE.

Recorded in part by the band, ODDLAND invaded Fantom Studio (Insomnium, Korpiklaani, Oranssi Pazuzu) to record the rest of their enthralling sophomore full-length, Origin, the follow-up to their Century Media-released 2012 debut The Treachery Of Senses. Containing over forty-five minutes of music mixed and mastered by Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames, Dimmu Borgir), ODDLAND stylistically incorporates a broad spectrum of tones and methods into their forward-thinking delivery on Origin, melding aggressive tones, spacious textures, and glorious melodies into a seamless and cohesive entity.

Origin bears a theme which ties deeply into the lyrics and extensive artwork, with a separate piece of art created by Egyptian artist Mohammed Essam for each of the nine songs. Each week leading up to the album’s release, ODDLAND is releasing a new piece of the artwork through their Facebook page HERE.
