Creator-Destructor Records is preparing for this Friday’s release of Darkness Silence Mirror Flame, the debut LP by San Francisco-based metal act NITE, which unites former members of Satan’s Wrath, Dawnbringer, High Spirits, and more. Ahead of it’s official unveiling, the entire album is now streaming exclusively through Heavy Blog Is Heavy.
Darkness Silence Mirror Flame was recorded by NITE‘s Van Labrakis at The Hoagie Container and 210 Studios San Francisco, mixed and mastered by Labrakis at 210 Studios, produced by Labrakis and NITE, and is completed with cover artwork by Misanthropic Arts.
Labrakis offers, “We are thrilled to join forces with Creator-Destructor Records to release our debut album, Darkness Silence Mirror Flame. An album about perseverance against all odds, about finding hope in the darkest of places and mustering the strength to endure the trials and tribulations of life, the vicissitudes of fate. We spent the last year carefully crafting our first offering and we can’t wait to show the world what we’ve been up to.”
Offering a detailed review of Darkness Silence Mirror Flame alongside their exclusive stream, Heavy Blog Is Heavy writes in part, “It hits all the great spots which heavy metal hits while its unique-for-the-genre vocals set a different kind of twist and tone to it. By embracing its core influences and modifying them with a well-executed dedication to the occult, a dialogue with black metal, and an overall air of just loving the music they make, NITE have created a personal and effective album.”

NITE was founded in 2018 by Van Labrakis (Satan’s Wrath, Mencea), Scott Hoffman (Dawnbringer, High Spirits), Bryan Coons (Older Sun, Motorhome), and Pat Crawford (Serpents Of Dawn, Older Sun). Delivering traditional heavy metal with blackened vocals, heavily influenced by the NWOBHM and the heavy metal titans of the 1980s, NITE brings us back to the golden age of heavy metal. On their debut album, Darkness Silence Mirror Flame, the band deploys eight searing songs. Razor sharp guitars, blazing leads, earth shattering bass, and punishing drums set the stage for the filthy, vile, and despicable vocals to unfold stories of horror, darkness, and despair.
