LED ZEPPELIN 2, the cover band featuring bassist Chris Klein, drummer Ian Lee, guitarist Paul Kamp and vocalist Bruce Lamont, will ring in the new year with a North American tour set to kick off this Friday! The flashbacks will commence in Chicago with two dates at the House Of Blues on January 7 and 8. The band will then wind through nearly a month’s worth of dates before drawing to a close on February 12 in Denver at The Gothic Theatre.
LED ZEPPELIN 2 brings you the excitement of Led Zeppelin “In Concert” by re-enacting the live improvisation and onstage interaction that earned Led Zeppelin their legendary status for performing. Rather than a “greatest hits” show, you get to experience Zeppelin as Zeppelin would have played live in front of an audience. LZ2 sold out venues across the U.S. in 2010 and have drawn rave reviews for a “spot-on” Zeppelin show, playing deep cuts and classic tracks from the entire catalog, and occasionally entire Led Zeppelin performances from specific dates.
Most widely recognized for his saxophone and vocal work fronting Chicago’s Yakuza, Bruce Lamont has contributed to a plethora of other projects including Bloodiest (featuring members of 90 Day Men, Sterling), Circle of Animals (with Sanford Parker, Minsk/The High Confessions) and Sick Gazelle (with Eric Block and Sanford Parker). He’s also recorded with Sigh, East West Blast Test, Minsk, Nachtmystium, Rabid Rabbit, Brutal Truth, Cephalic Carnage, Sweet Cobra, Locrian, Hex Machine and more.
Commented Lamont of the upcoming LED ZEPPELIN 2 dates: “I never thought back when we started LED ZEPPELIN 2, for fun mind you, that we would ever embark on a full U.S. tour. I am really excited to do it. It’s an honor and a pleasure to sing and perform some of the greatest music ever made.”

“Guitarist Paul Kamp does an admirable job keeping up with Page’s dazzling fretwork, but there’s no question that Robert Plant stand-in Bruce Lamont is the star of the show. As he howls over classic-rock gems, you’d never guess he’s also one of the city’s most daring improvisers, blowing sax through a delay pedal or shredding his throat with art-metallers Yakuza.” – Timeout Chicago
“As good a Zep as Zep ever did back in the day.” – Chicago Sun Times
