LAVINIA: Sallowed Full-Length By Post-Rock Outfit Streaming At PureGrainAudio; Album To See Release This Friday Through Pax Aeternum

Sallowed, the new album from post-rock outfit LAVINIA – featuring members of Everdown, Eksi Ekso, The Burning Paris, On Fire, Caspian, Seneca, and more – will see release this Friday through Dark Operative Records’ digital imprint, Pax Aeternum.

Bleak, dark and embodying the distress of growing up in small town New Hampshire, LAVINIA‘s Sallowed is the guttural response of wanting to escape where one grew up but still loving it at the same time. Failed relationships, injuries, and loss entwine to form a more direct display of emotional heaviness. Performed by Nathan Shumaker, Jon McMahan, Brendan Ford, and Mike DiTullio, Sallowed encapsulates a long coming description of depression and a will to live at the same time. The album was engineered by John Helmig and Eric Mitchell, and mixed and mastered by Erin Leigh Burke-Moran.

Preceding its release, PureGrainAudio is hosting an advance stream of the entire record, paired with a track-by-track breakdown of the album. The popular portal writes in part, “Comprised of talented musicians from bands including Everdown, Eksi Ekso, The Burning Paris, On Fire, Caspian, and Seneca, LAVINIA have harnessed their penchant for post-rock and emo and the resulting offering is as cold, bleak, isolating and expansive as a blizzard-slammed winter night in the Arctic Circle. Musicians Nathan Shumaker, Jon McMahan, Brendan Ford, and Mike DiTullio have certainly outdone themselves…”
