I AM: Brutal Video For Title Track To Life Through Torment Full-Length Premiered Via Decibel Magazine

Dallas-based vicious death/hardcore outfit I AM has released a new video for “Life Through Torment,” the title track to their debut album nearing independent release in early February. The ruthless visual complement to the album’s opening namesake track sees its debut through an exclusive premiere at Decibel Magazine.

Captured amidst a bombardment of fists and feet flailing within a writhing mosh pit of fans as I AM performed the track live, the video was filmed by Travis Kuykendall and Chad Lee and edited by Kuykendall. Issues the band, “Our first music video was shot at a taqueria so it only seemed fitting to do the next one at a pizzeria. J&J’s pizza shop had a cool basement they let people throw shows in. ‘Life Through Torment’ was the first song we wrote off the album and it’s just an ass beater. We’re not trying to be the coolest band or most popular. We’re just trying to make badass music and tour the world making friends.”

Following a two-year void since the early 2015 release of their Memento Mori debut EP, I AM will inundate the masses with their maiden full-length, Life Through Torment. An unquestionably brutalizing, by-the-throat album without a second of filler, consuming twenty-eight minutes through ten unrelenting tracks, Life Through Torment was recorded, produced, and mixed by Ryan Harvey at Red Oak Collective, mastered by Jacob Pouttu, and bears artwork by Grayson Altom and design by Benjamin Hoagland.

I AM has booked a hometown record release show in Dallas on February 11th, with a two-week US tour with Bodysnatcher and Wicked World in March just days from announcement, and a tour with Wicked World, Mercy Blow, and Mara coming in April.
