This Friday, Selfmadegod Records will unleash the rabid sixth album from long-running Portuguese grindcore icons HOLOCAUSTO CANIBAL, Crueza Ferina. Preceding its official release, Metal Injection is currently hosting an exclusive stream of the entire album.
Crueza Ferina delivers nineteen tracks of HOLOCAUSTO CANIBAL’s well-known brutal death metal/grindcore at its best. Produced and engineered by João Ribeiro, Crueza Ferina’s drums were recorded at Rec’n’Roll Studios, the guitars and bass were recorded at 808 Studios, and the vocals were recorded at Estúdio 55. The album was mixed by João Ribeiro at Estúdio 55, mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Nails, Obituary, Necrot, Torche, Ulcerate), with photography by Rui Pires as the cover artwork. Additionally, Immolation’s Bob Vigna supplies a guest solo on the track “Êxodo Mortuoso.”
With the album seeing release this week, HOLOCAUSTO CANIBAL drummer Diogo P. declares, “It’s finally here. We present you to Crueza Ferina in its entirety. For us, it’s the most cohesive music we ever made, created live in the rehearsal room and fine-tuned on the road from the Netherlands to Las Vegas, ending up in our sixth full-length. This is our view, what we enjoy playing and how we make music, with a penchant for the theme of the macabre and sometimes life saving rural traditions.”
Metal Injection writes “Portuguese grindcore unit HOLOCAUSTO CANIBAL is now streaming their new record Crueza Ferina. The album features nineteen tracks of death metal tinged grindcore, complete with an appearance from Immolation’s very own Bob Vigna.”
