ENABLER: Flies CDEP Out Now Through The Compound Shows With Pelican, Agrimonia, TOAD And More Approaching

Flies, the new EP from Milwaukee day-ruiners, ENABLER, is now available via high quality/eco-friendly digipak, as the first release for Earsplit’s new label sect, The Compound.

With five crushing original tracks as well as a cover of Sepultura’s iconic “Arise” anthem, ENABLER‘s newest venture showcases some of the band’s most grimly melodic angular riffs yet, as always incessantly inundated with instantly memorable hooks and the band’s cynical “fuck off” vibes, mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (From Ashes Rise, Integrity, Tragedy, All Pigs Must Die).

“The Midwest quartet are doing the right things thus far, still churning out urgent songs that alternate between Converge-y hardcore acrobatics, crusty melodicism ala Tragedy and unrelenting grindcore.” – Noisey

“…Flies: It fucking slays. Briefer yet better than the band’s 2011 debut album, All Hail the Void, the EP introduces layers of angular atmosphere to its sludge-in-a-Magic-Bullet riffage.” – Decibel

“Enabler separates itself from the pack so effortlessly… The combination of riff and fury is purely pulverizing… it’s highly possible that Enabler could land two out of three spots on my Top EPs of 2013 list, and these short bursts of brilliance just keep getting better. Redemption was stout, but Flies is stouter; Redemption was strong, but Flies is stronger. 8.5/10” – Last Rites

“Monolithic, pit inducing breakdowns amidst the speed fuelled hardcore beats hit home with supreme efficiency, easily rising them above the pack as a band to be noticed and taken seriously and not just another clone spitting out the same tried and tested formula.” – The Sleeping Shaman

“If I only had $4 for the rest of eternity I’d spend it on Flies EP.” – MetalSucks

“Punk/Hardcore/Grind that is as intense as a Japanese tidal wave. This EP will definitely jump start your day, smack your baby momma and kill an elderly person.” – Headbang Or GTFO

“There is a desperation to the EP, as though it was spat out, flung forth, as though the music was drained out of a festering would to relieve the pressure. 4/5” – About.com

“Jeff knows his metal, having played in so many bands from Shai Hulud to Today is the Day; it is cool to hear him take a new spin on a classic and really make it his own… They write nasty riffs and bring a visceral intensity back to death metal that is sometimes lost in the murk of technicality.” – Metal Reviews
