DRUGS OF FAITH: May US Tour With Antigama Confirmed; Split 7-Inch With Cloud Rat Under Construction

Northern Virginia’s grind/rock subjugators, DRUGS OF FAITH, have booked a Northeastern US tour, with Polish grindcore innovators, Antigama, having this week confirmed a brutalizing run through nearly half of May. In addition, the band has recorded new material which is slated to see release in May as a split 7″ with Michigan grinders, Cloud Rat.

The upcoming Blast The East Coast tour, which is presented by Blow The Scene, Selfmadegod Records and Earsplit, will see DRUGS OF FAITH providing direct support for Poland’s grind extraordinaire quartet, Antigama, for a brutal run through the Northeastern US. Together, the duo will shred through Brooklyn, Providence, Clifton, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Annandale, Richmond and Charlottesville from May 13th through the 20th before Antigama heads into the melee at MDF. In addition to shows with The Communion, Buckshot Facelift, Infernal Stronghold and others along the routing, Antigama and DRUGS OF FAITH will also headline Mildfest Vol. 1: The Grinding, alongside The Communion, Organ Dealer, Pink Mass, Sentience, Toxicology and Gorscum in Clifton, New Jersey on May 15th as part of the tour,

Additionally, DRUGS OF FAITH teamed up with Cloud Rat for a split 7″. DRUGS OF FAITH recorded their share for the joint effort at Developing Nations in Baltimore, Maryland with Kevin Bernsten, while Cloud Rat captured their end at Lakebottom Recording House in Toledo, Ohio, with J.C. Griffin. The platter is being finalized now for release in May via Selfmadegod Records, the label responsible for the majority of DOF‘s prior releases. Founding DRUGS OF FAITH vocalist/guitarist Richard Johnson (also of Enemy Soil, Agoraphobic Nosebleed) said, “We’re big fans of Cloud Rat and can’t wait to hold a copy of the split in our hands.” Cloud Rat guitarist Rorik commented, “We are beyond excited to be sharing a record with DOF. A split truly for the hippest of the hip.”
