“The Heiress” is the brand new single hailing from Eastern Pennsylvania-based ANIQATIA and their impending Luminous sophomore EP. As the sprawling new recordings from the exploratory, melodic rock quartet find their way days closer to mid-March release through Nefarious Industries, the new track seeps into the public through an exclusive stream at New Noise Magazine.

Issues ANIQATIA with the track premiere, “‘The Heiress’ is a song about the frustration and tension that goes along with having people in your life that you can’t please, regardless of how hard you try. Musically, it’s structured around that tension – the verses represent building it up, the choruses serve as a release for it, and the drifting middle sections are trying to escape it.”

The EP’s “February” is also playing at Heavy Blog Is Heavy HERE.

Luminous will be released digitally on March 11th, 2016 via Nefarious Industries, home to Maid Myriad, El Drugstore, A Fucking Elephant, Opul, Bangladeafy, and other boundary-belittling rock and rollers. An advance preorder bundle including a shirt, the band’s prior EP and the new EP has been posted HERE.

The band continues to perform throughout the tristate steadily into the Spring thaw and beyond with new shows booked in the coming months and more being booked.

ANIQATIA‘s sound incorporates influences from the likes of Hum, Explosions In The Sky, Sunny Day Real Estate, Failure, and others. Building upon the foundation created with its predecessor, Erratics, the band’s new Luminous was also recorded with Vince Ratti (Circa Survive, Balance And Composure, The Wonder Years), the album thriving with a progressive sound that is also simultaneously refreshing and nostalgic. Luminous showcases a hardened and exploratory set of songs propelled by soaring melodic guitar lines and ironclad, thoughtful rhythms.
