As the tormented new Dying Gods EP from longstanding New York hardcore/metal crossover quintet ALL OUT WAR nears June release through Organized Crime Records, the record’s punishing track, “Nothing Left To Bleed,” has been released through Noisey.
ALL OUT WAR‘s first official release since their 2010-released Into The Killing Fields LP, Dying Gods not only recalls the viciousness of the band’s earliest, seminal output, it also proves that time has only hardened this crew, delivering nearly a half-hour of their most motivating and heated material of their nearly twenty-five year to date lineage. Five brand new, groove-laden anthems in ode to the destructive conduct of modern man, bridging searing metal leads with the harshest of hardcore’s most dangerous breakdowns, followed by two homage tracks from completely opposite ends of the early extreme music underworld — Amebix’s “Arise” and Carnivore’s “God Is Dead” — encompass the release. Captured in murderously vivid production, engineered and produced by Steve Evetts (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Hatebreed, Turmoil) at West West Side Studios and mastered by Alan Douches from West West Side, these works reinstate the band’s relevance to the past, present and future to the scene, as aptly displayed in Noisey’s exclusive premiere of the EP’s “Nothing Left To Bleed.” Issues the Vice Magazine-run worldwide music portal of the track, “The New York hardcore band take chug metal riffs, add in all manner of vitriol, dive-bombs, and half-speed parts for the mosh kids into hardcore readymade for the pit. Organized Crime Records is prepping for the release of Dying Gods on June 23rd, 2015. Preorders for the EP in multiple formats are available; the CD version with an exclusive bonus download of three tracks from the unreleased 1993 demo, and the vinyl in blood clear red, scorched earth sand tan, and smoke of destruction clear and black mix pressings including a digital download code. Brand new and old-school fans of ALL OUT WAR can vent their frustrations with the band live both stateside and abroad in the coming months. Performances at Rain Fest in Seattle, Washington this month, a hometown record release show on June 20th in Poughkeepsie, New York, a return visit to This Is Hardcore in Philadelphia in July, the Dying Gods Europe Tour 2015 including sets at Still Cold Fest in Germany, Ieperfest in Belgium, and Motocultor Fest in France, and upon their return, a show at Hearfest in Gatineau, Quebec, are already confirmed, with much more to be announced in the coming days.
