While their recently issued third LP Planetary Clairvoyance continues to reap praise from fans and media alike, Toronto death metal act TOMB MOLD this week traverses the continent to perform several West Coast tour dates, including the massive Psycho Las Vegas gathering.

TOMB MOLD accelerates unhinged toward infinite resurrection on Planetary Clairvoyance. Already being heralded as one of the most critically acclaimed death metal releases of the year, Planetary Clairvoyance delivers the explosive weight of a collapsing black hole. As with their acclaimed Manor Of Infinite Forms LP, Planetary Clairvoyance was tracked by Sean Pearson at Box Car Studios in Toronto and then mixed and mastered by Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Volahn, Scorched). The amalgamation of the huge sound of the prior album and the gritty particle chaos of their Primordial Malignity debut come into boundless unity on Planetary Clairvoyance. The record is completed with cover art by Jesse Jacobi with additional artwork by Lucas Korte.

Following as performance at Maryland Deathfest, a North American tour with labelmates Superstition, and more TOMB MOLD returns to the road this week to play at the massive Psycho Las Vegas with The Original Misfits, High On Fire, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Bad Religion, Carcass, Old Man Gloom, and many others. The show is followed by shows in Oakland, San Diego, and Los Angeles into early next week. Watch for additional tour dates to be announced.

TOMB MOLD‘s Planetary Clairvoyance is available on digital, CD, cassette, and LP formats. The first vinyl pressing is packaged with a bonus gatefold insert with additional artwork.

“…not only their best album, but also one of death metal’s fiercest and most diverse offerings in recent memory… Lofty ideas like ego death and past life hypnosis combined with more tangible and certain actualities like heartbreak and death make Planetary Clairvoyance a very personal – yet almost alien – piece of music.” – Kerrang! Magazine

“…another batch of twisted bashers that balance next-dimension technicality and terminal-brain cell brutality.” – Decibel Magazine

“Darker, stranger, and more atmospheric than its predecessor, Planetary Clairvoyance extends their gifts beyond death metal, sounding untied to any particular lineage. It’s their tightest record to date, suite-like in its momentum and thematic coherence. 8/10” – Pitchfork

TOMB MOLD know how to serve up absolutely ripping death metal that will make you want to puke acid.” – Revolver Magazine

“The chordwork features more twists and turns, and the leads feel sharper and better deployed, particularly the intertwining harmonies at song’s end. This is ripping death served with putrid flair, the perfect midway point between Incantation’s unholy tones and the idiot aggression of Asphyx.” – Stereogum

“Planetary Clairvoyance is an exceptional death metal album. It has the traits of classic records, but never prostrates itself into pure worship. It’s eerie, heavy and has just enough technicality to keep it interesting without detracting from its impact. 9/10” – Exclaim! Magazine

“Few acts can manage to write three albums worth of material in three years. Even fewer acts can write three excellent records in that time. Even so, Toronto death metal outfit TOMB MOLD have done just that… Planetary Clairvoyance, eclipses their prior work in every way.” – Consequence Of Sound

“…not exactly progressive death metal, but it does move in a more intricate direction when compared to their last two records. It’s definitely their most ambitious work, bringing complexity to their ooze.” – Bandcamp Daily

“When one hears an album like this, it’s no wonder that death metal has made the comeback it has. Planetary Clairvoyance is one more amazing notch in TOMB MOLD‘s furious discography. It’s technical, harrowing and unrelenting. If you’ve been sleeping on this band, don’t for a second longer. Enter the stratosphere and get annihilated. 9.5/10″ – Metal Injection
