Southern California’s acoustic metal brigade THE DREAD CREW OF ODDWOOD has just blasted the public with a new single, “Rust & Glory,” as a warning shot, as they prepare to raid the North American mainland commemorating the tenth anniversary of their mighty Lawful Evil album.
Not to be confused with the band’s prior album of the same name, “Rust & Glory” showcases the ongoing current direction of this rogue heavy mahogany crew, the band declaring with its release, “It tells about how the promise of fortune, power, fame, and glory are alluring phantoms on the horizon, but that chasing them can lead to an untimely demise. In this grueling day and age, it is a rare treasure indeed for one to achieve their goals through their passions, and this song chronicles the personal cost of following your heart to achieve a sense of immortality. The catch is—it’s always worth it, even when your body breaks and your mind rusts over. Thrash with us against the route of least resistance and feast your ears upon ‘Rust & Glory!’”

As mentioned, THE DREAD CREW OF ODDWOOD is preparing to ship out across the North American continent on tour commemorating the tenth anniversary their acclaimed fourth album, Lawful Evil. Released in 2016, the album delivered fourteen debauchery-ridden rippers in the band’s singular heavy mahogany attack, intoxicating the listener with more than forty-two minutes of top-shelf hard-partying action. The album launched the already admired band into a new hemisphere of fame, exploding their popularity across the globe through widespread touring in North America, the UK, and Europe, including performances at Wacken Winter Nights in 2019. Their fifth album, 2024’s Rust & Glory, saw THE DREAD CREW OF ODDWOOD focusing their attack on the North American mainland, supporting Týr alongside Trollfest and Æther Realm on a month-long tour. The band played 70000Tons of Metal in 2025 and returned to Europe earlier this year with Korpiklaani, Finntroll, Heidevolk, and Trollfest for the Heidenfest 2026 Tour.
The Lawful Evil 10 Year Anniversary Tour will see the band dividing their attack into two phases. The first will run from October 6th through 17th, where they’ll raid the Eastern territories of the upper US and lower Canada. The second stage will hit the Western realms of the US and Canada from December 2nd through 11th.
