All These Darlings And Now Me, the latest full-length from experimental hardcore/mathcore unit SUNFLO’ER, is out now and streaming via Dark Trail Records!
Formed in 2010 and hailing from Potsdam, New York SUNFLO’ER (SUN+FLOW+UR) has released two EPs on their own label before signing with Magnetic Eye Records in 2015, which saw the release of their first LP, 1963. The band was also featured on Magnetic Eye’s Helmet tribute, Meantime [Redux] and Pink Floyd tribute, The Wall [Redux]. For their second LP, No Hell, SUNFLO’ER partnered with Ottawa’s Noise Salvation for the release of a CD/’Zine and published the vinyl through their own imprint. Now, with the addition of vocalist, Jeff Lyszczarz, SUNFLO’ER unveils their third full length album, All These Darlings And Now Me. The band utilizes a dynamic and hectic approach to hardcore that takes cues from Converge, La Dispute, Cursed, Circle Takes The Square, and Dangers.
All These Darlings And Now Me was recorded, mixed, and produced by Urian Hackney at The Box in Burlington, Vermont, and mastered by Zach Weeks at GodCity Studio in Salem, Massachusetts.
The record, which initially premiered at both New Noise Magazine and BrooklynVegan, is now available on CD, LP, and digital formats. Grab your copy at THIS LOCATION where the record can be streamed in full
In conjunction with the release of the records, SUNFLO’ER will kick off a US/Canadian mini-tour supporting post hardcore outfit Dreamwelll. The journey begins TONIGHT with a record release show in Potsdam, New York. From there, the band will make their way through seven more cities through September 11th in Montreal, Quebec. “…a swaggering, razor-sharp collection of rock & roll-infused mathcore that falls somewhere between Every Time I Die, Refused, and The Bronx, and if that sounds up your alley, you’ll probably find that SUNFLO’ER do a ton of justice to that kind of stuff. It’s a big step up from No Hell, an invigorating take on a great sound, and a whole lot of fucking fun.” — BrooklynVegan
“…another impressive offering from a relatively hidden gem in today’s diverse hardcore scene, one that could and should mark SUNFLO’ER out as an inspiring and influential prospect of their own.” – Distorted Sound
“On All These Darlings And Now Me SUNFLO’ER combine mathcore and post-hardcore into a harsh-yet-catchy 27 minutes. Imagine a mix of Converge, Every Time I Die, KEN Mode, and Circle Takes The Square, and you’ll be on the right lines.” – Wonderbox Metal
“Musically, SUNFLO’ER presents their most reflective and mature album to date. But that doesn’t mean that All These Darlings And Now Me isn’t fun. Quite the contrary… Think Hang The Bastard’s dark hardcore, Totally Unicorn’s mathcore, and Celeste’s post hardcore. For almost half an hour, SUNFLO’ER skilfully always hit the bull’s eye between breakdowns and time changes.” – Betreutesproggen.de (translated)
