Everything Is Noise is currently streaming 3737, the latest full-length from Portland psychedelic stoner doom alchemists ROBOTS OF THE ANCIENT WORLD, in its entirety. The premiere comes on the eve of the record’s official release this Friday, November 17th on Small Stone Recordings.

3737 serves as the follow up to the band’s critically lauded Mystic Goddess full-length, issued in 2021. With the assistance of renowned engineer, Billy Anderson, ROBOTS OF THE ANCIENT WORLD delivers a relentless rock ‘n’ roll album spanning thirty-seven minutes and thirty-seven seconds. But the title is more than just the duration of the recording. There exists a theory in numerology that guardian angels attempt to communicate through divine numbers – specifically the repetition in those numbers. This number specifically is to remind us that, “magic and manifestation are knocking at your door,” and that, “you are about to attract your inner most desires.” Emerging from the pandemic and coping with the loss of loved ones, heartache, and mental anguish, the ROBOTS OF THE ANCIENT WORLD collective opted to harness that energy and pour it into 3737. As a result, we are left with an album rich with addictively heavy riffing complimented by pummeling drums, groovy bass lines, and Caleb Weidenbach’s raw and commanding vocals.

Writes Everything Is Noise in part, “What’s not to love about a good sludge metal album? Especially when that album throws in hints of psych rock, grooves, and songs about getting high! Regardless of what your answer may or may not be to that rhetorical question, ROBOTS OF THE ANCIENT WORLD have entered our orbit once again to invade your ears with none other than 3737, an album full of riffy goodness, melodic intricacy, and headbang-inducing grooves a-plenty… The entire album blends into the perfect brew of metal riffs, bluesy throwbacks, psychedelic atmosphere, gritty jams, and an overall sense of wide, massive sounds filling every space and leaving no gaps in this wall of top-notch production value.”

3737 was written and recorded by the band, mastered by Justin Weis, and comes swathed in the cover art of Zaiusart. The record will be released on CD and digital formats via Small Stone Recordings and on limited edition vinyl by Kozmik Artifactz.
