“Anyone with a penchant for fast, groovy hardcore will find it hard not to move to ‘Gift of Life,’ which is sure to be one of the most mosh-worthy songs you hear this week.” – Decibel Magazine
“KING NINE has come a long way from their demo – musically and conceptually – and Death Rattle is a testament of the growth. It’s an album that’s as impressive as it is satisfying.” – No Echo
“KING NINE have been sporting their insatiable “anti-human” mantra on their merchandise for several years, as their fan base anticipated the followup to their 2013 breakthrough, Scared To Death. On Death Rattle, the band demonstrate a hardened maturity and serving of perpetual reality checks over crushing, straightforward New York hardcore.” – Exclaim! Magazine
“Musically, KING NINE take the listener in a generally hardcore direction, but their sound has a thickness to it that makes it refreshing. There’s a thrill that pervades the listener’s experience; the band doesn’t just leave them hanging and grasping for something to latch onto. They blend an apparent place in hardcore style with their own personal and well-polished blend of directions and influences, and the result jumps out and demands attention. 5/5″ – New Noise Magazine
