GIGAN: Exploratory Tech Metal Ambassadors Announce Ceremonies And Hallucinations Tour 2014

Exploratory tech metal ambassadors, GIGAN, will take to the streets this May for another rash of live rituals. Scheduled to initiate on May 2nd in Wisconsin, the Ceremonies And Hallucinations Tour will wind through twenty metropolises. As a bonus, the Chicago show will feature a full liquid light show and Super 8 visual accompaniment, manifesting the ultimate live GIGAN experience! Additionally, the tour will include special guests on both coasts, specifically Transylvanian eclectic metal sorcerers, Negură Bunget, in both Santa Ana and Las Vegas, as well as Mike Browning’s iconic Nocturnus A.D. in Tampa!

Relays guitarist Eric Hersemann: “GIGAN is excited to start our 2014 with the Ceremonies And Hallucinations US Tour as we will be hitting many of the cities we missed last year and we are looking forward to seeing all of you! The Ritualistic Projection Tour 2013 was a stellar time and this tour will be even better! Come out and transcend the norm!”

GIGAN released their titanic Multi-Dimensional Fractal Sorcery And Super Science last year via Willowtip Records. Recorded with Sanford Parker (Minsk, Buried At Sea, Yakuza) at Earth Analog Studios in Chicago, Multi-Dimensional Fractal Sorcery And Super Science is an instrumentally dense, methodically precise, conceptually captivating and physically challenging listening excursion that commands its listener’s attention. In an in-depth assessment of the record, No Clean Singing commends the, “labyrinth of destructive percussion and frenzied guitar-work that build in collaboration to monstrous heights of hyper-blasting, ever-shifting insanity,” adding that GIGAN have, “always been one of the most unique and truly alien-sounding technical death metal bands, their aggressiveness rounded out with a heavy dose of drawn-out atmosphere, oddball riffs, genuinely psychedelic and trance-like moments, and a chaotic nature rooted in the shifting between these different sounds that makes the music a uniquely unhinged, unpredictable experience.” Exclaim shares the sentiment, “Multi-Dimensional Fractal Sorcery And Super Science comes at the listener as an overwhelming wall of sound, the frenzied, barely restrained guitar work interwoven with a dense, hostile network of throbbing, explosive synths. Ugly, intense and increasingly mechanical, …Super Science is the type of record that would be favored by angry cyborgs,” while Emusic boasts, “…those who like their death metal inhuman, loud as a jet engine and thick as tar will find Multi-Dimensional Fractal Sorcery and Super Science one of 2013’s most exhilarating albums.”

The brainchild of left-handed lead guitarist and founding member Eric Hersemann, GIGAN has been challenging the mortal laws of extreme music and creativity since early 2006. Forged around the simple notion that the imagination should be art’s only limit, GIGAN‘s style of creative delivery has simultaneously invoked reactions of amazement, disbelief, shock, awe and ultimately, respect.
