EYEHATEGOD – US Tour To Commence June 3; Band To Perform First Two Records In Their Entirety In Chicago!

The wait is nearly over! EYEHATEGOD’s long-anticipated US tour will commence on June 3 at Blackbooth in Orlando, FL following an appearance at the Maryland Deathfest on May 30 . Vocalist Mike Williams, guitarists Jimmy Bower and Brian Patton, bassist Gary Mader, and drummer Joey LaCaze will be joined by a rotating roster of other eclectic (read: totally awesome) openers, including psychedelic black metallers Nachtmystium (from June 4 – 15) . The NOLA sludge metal kings will pillage through 16 cities before winding down in Chicago at the Empty Bottle where they will perform the legendary In The Name Of Suffering (June 19) and Take As Needed For Pain (June 20) full-lengths in their entirety. Nachtmystium will be rejoining the tour for these two special dates.

Commented Jimmy Bower of the upcoming run: “It’s been a long time since we’ve played some of these cities and look forward to seeing old and new friends… and spreading the riff!”

“…The collective anticipation and tension swelled like a ripening fruit ready to burst…The slow riffs of [Jimmy] Bower [also the drummer of Down], Brian Patton [also Soilent Green’s guitarist] and relatively new bassist Gary Mader sounded as though they were literally being strummed beneath the surface of a murky Louisiana swamp, such was their slow and powerful delivery…It was a thunderous, distinctly southern kind of blues ‘n’ doom poured through a punk-rock filter.” — Hellbound live review (Emo’s, TX 2010)
