The Emptiness Of… is out now through Closed Casket Activities on 12″ color vinyl available HERE, as well as all digital platforms.

Recorded at Bricktop Studio with Andy Nelson (Harm’s Way, Weekend Nachos, Dead In The Dirt) and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Nails, Obituary, Integrity), The Emptiness Of… bears ten brutalizing tracks, delivering the disastrously groove-laden attack of ETERNAL SLEEP‘s death metal-fueled hardcore with crushing precision, showcasing the band’s wide array of metallic hardcore and grungy metal influences, concentrated into a bruising, groove-fueled attack.

Decibel Magazine’s new review of The Emptiness Of… includes, “If you, like no one ever, have wondered what ’90s metallic hardcore would sound like through the dual filter of grunge and ‘holy terror’ hardcore, ETERNAL SLEEP is here to field questions and offer a primer on this unusual combination.” Invisible Oranges championed the album, noting, “A fresh-faced attempt at metallic hardcore, Pittsburgh’s ETERNAL SLEEP have been performing and recording since 2012 but on this year’s new LP The Emptiness Of…, the band has really started to come into their own. In particular, the crunchy, dirty breakdowns on tracks like ‘Last Kind Words’ and ‘Revisionist’ feel truly fresh a la Nails meets Integrity…” Lambgoat issued of the new album, “it’s heavy. ETERNAL SLEEP‘s down-tuned and thundering riffage should appeal to fans of Coalesce, Damnation A.D., and even the Melvins.” And Stereokiller championed the album with a 4/5 review which boasts, “This record hasn’t left my rotation since I received the advance copy, and is frequently blasted with my windows down while simultaneously mean mugging shitty drivers. This record gets my blood boiling, and I’d imagine that’s what the sole mission is for The Emptiness Of….
