DIRA MORTIS Signs To Selfmadegod Records; Ancient Breath Of Forgotten Misanthropy Full-Length To See Late 2020 Release

Selfmadegod Records proudly announce the signing of Polish death metal outfit DIRA MORTIS. The band is currently working on their upcoming album, Ancient Breath Of Forgotten Misanthropy, which will see release later this year.

DIRA MORTIS is guitarist Leszek Makowiecki, guitarist/studio bassist MÅ›cisÅ‚aw, drummer Vizun, and new vocalist Kuba Brewczynski (Straight Hate, ex-Parricide). The band’s third full-length, Ancient Breath Of Forgotten Misanthropy is currently being recorded at Roslyn Studios with producer Krzysztof Godycki with whom the quartet recorded their 2015-released Psalms Of The Morbid Existence. The new material will deliver approximately forty minutes of obscure and morbid old-school death metal influenced by classic bands such as Autopsy, Asphyx, and Grave. The album’s cover artwork is being handled by Bartlomiej Kurzok, who was responsible for the revised version of the band’s Euphoric Convulsions art.

DIRA MORTIS came into existence in 1998 in Gorlice, Poland, and continues to serve a powerful dose of ominous cemetery stench death metal. To date, the band has released records through the likes of Defense Records and Let It Bleed, with two full-length albums among a long line of demos, EPs, and more fleshing out their discography. In 2014, a compilation featuring the band’s early demos called Rusty Razor Cuts was released, and the following year, the band released their second album, Psalms Of Morbid Existence, which was highly appreciated in the music press and was promoted on many shows in Poland. DIRA MORTIS has played live alongside the likes of Marduk, Immolation, Parricide, Deformed, Antigama, Hypnos, Patologicum, Terrordome, and Chaos Synopsis.

DIRA MORTIS promises to unleash their most devastating material yet with their impending third album. An official release date for Ancient Breath Of Forgotten Misanthropy will shortly be set for late 2020 on Selfmadegod Records. Stay tuned for updates to be issued over the months ahead.
