Another vicious portion of antagonized grindcore vengeance from DIE CHOKING is today rammed down the public’s collective throat courtesy of Bloody-Disgusting, as the massive horror culture site premieres “Millirem,” the opening track from the trio’s rapidly approaching III debut LP.
DIE CHOKING will also embark on a Northeastern blast of tour dates this week, now dubbed, Escape The Pope 2015, as this pontiff character invades the region making daily life insufferable for all nonbelievers dwelling near several major cities, including the band’s hometown of Philadelphia.
DIE CHOKING‘s III —recorded at the renowned Studio 4 (Lauryn Hill, Blacklisted, Cop Problem) with producer Will Yip and mastered by Brad Boatright (Nails, Integrity, Full Of Hell) at Audiosiege — is a record stripped of overproduction and performed with devastating efficiency, with no samples or triggers utilized in the recording and mixing process, resulting in some of the densest grindcore ever captured, and one of the year’s most unfuckwithable releases. With III now less than three weeks from its initial street date via Earsplit’s DIY sect, The Compound Recs, the violent album-opening “Millirem” is delivered as an appropriate warning shot as to what listeners should expect from the additional ten tracks III beholds. It’s a blistering, whiplash-inducing beatdown of immeasurable proportions, as described by founding bassist/vocalist Paul Herzog, “This song represents an uncontrolled outburst of radiation at an instant of birth or death. Pulsation. Particles. Pre-existence. I have a rabid obsession with puking out waves of aural energy.” As per the fearless scribes at Bloody-Disgusting, the track discharges, “just over 90 seconds of pure sensory assault, featuring blistering drums, raging vocals, and a wall of distorted guitars, all combining to ensure maximum face melting power.”

III will see digital release on October 8th and the vinyl on October 23rd. A 100-copy limited pressing exclusive to The Compound Recs in an A Side/B Side black-base Two-Blue Splatter is available HERE, and the Blues Of The Mighty Haze and Blue & Bone Splatter Milky Clear pressings available through DIE CHOKING right HERE. A CD version will see co-release between Polish extreme propaganda specialists, Selfmadegod Records and The Compound at the turn of the year for the band’s first European tour in February.
DIE CHOKING, a band continually performing live, will take it to the next level in the coming weeks, with their Escape The Pope 2015 Tour, which begins this Thursday, September 24th — sees the band scathing Providence, Worcester, Manchester, Washington DC and Philadelphia — the last show on the 30th. Along the way they shall shred with the likes of Today Is The Day, Abigail Williams, Empty Vessels, ACxDC, Ramlord, Grizzor and more.
A III-based album release tour begins on October 22nd — one day after the vinyl version of the record is officially available DIY-style — which sees DIE CHOKING storming again into the Midwest, then out to the West Coast for the first time before swinging back home. Once back on the East Coast again, the rampage continues, including two record release shows, a return headlining show in Brooklyn and a spot at the fourth South Jersey Metal Fest, performing with the likes of Mother Brain, Grin & Bear It, Carved Up, Rivers Of Nihil, Surgeon and more.
The band’s first European tour in February will correspond with the co-release of III on CD, handled by The Compound Recs. and Selfmadegod Records.
