OMENFILTH: Hymns Of Diabolical Treachery Limited Edition Cassette From Philippines-Based Black Metal Collective Out Now And Streaming Via Eternal Death

“…like a walk down memory lane, if memory lane was painted with blood and corpses, with the fires of slaughter still burning in the distance…” — Overdrive Magazine

San Pablo City-based black metal collective OMENFILTH is pleased to unveil a limited cassette edition of their Hymns Of Diabolical Treachery full-length today via Eternal Death Records!

Self-produced and initially released on CD via Nero One Records, OMENFILTH‘s Hymns Of Diabolical Treachery showcases the band’s curious duality with Side A highlighting their classic, maniacal nastiness and Side B offering up one twenty-plus minute track of chilling ambience.

Hymns Of Diabolical Treachery is out now on cassette and digital formats via Eternal Death Records. Orders are currently available at THIS LOCATION where the record can be streamed in full.

Featuring members of long-running death metal behemoths Pathogen, OMENFILTH was spawned from the abyssal crypts of the Philippines and vomits forth vehement black metal terror reminiscent of early Rotting Christ, Varathron, Necromantia, and Samael. Standing apart from the throngs of bestial black/death metal clones, OMENFILTH chooses to take a path less traveled, harnessing the external darkness of the world and the internal feelings of misanthropy, apathy, desolation, and the urge for heretical wisdom and occultic esoterica, and fusing it all to create blackened death/thrash of the highest quality.

“… the band uses melodic riffing channeled through a raw sound reminiscent of early Rotting Christ and Varathron combined with elements of Worship Himera Samael. Layered on top of this concoction is a veneer of black thrash with the use of ripping guitar solos.” Decibel

“…if you want some pure underground old school black metal the way they played it back in the extra-late ’80s, jump right onto the A-side of this tape… raw, thoughtful, ruinously thrashing and pulls in just enough of the scent of epic/classic heavy metal…” — Grizzly Butts
