Now featuring Philp H. Anselmo (Down, Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals, Pantera et al), guitarists Kevin Bond (Christ Inversion, Artimus Pyledriver et al) and Jimmy Bower (Down, Eyehategod), drummer José Manuel Gonzalez Jr. (Warbeast, Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals) and bassist Stephen Taylor (Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals, Wovenhand, 16 Horsepower), SUPERJOINT churns out a debaucherous crossover of hardcore punk and metal and unleashed two critically-lauded full-lengths – 2002’s Use Once And Destroy and 2003’s Lethal Dose Of American Hatred – before taking hiatus in 2005.

SUPERJOINT‘s latest expedition follows the band’s wildly successful It Takes Guts Summer takeover. In a live review of their New Orleans performance, Whereyat.com commended the band’s signature, “straight-up, no-frills, hardcore rock,” and, “a very spirited, and just plain fun, rock n’ roll show,” further issuing of the set, “Infamous frontman Phil Anselmo, who needs no introduction, came out gutturally screaming in a way that I haven’t personally heard him do in a long time. It was primal and painful; full of incredible energy and vigor… They played their best songs and had the whole audience singing along to every word, especially ‘Everyone Hates Everyone,’… and ‘Fuck Your Enemy.'” On their Cincinnati stop, Full Metal Rock relayed, “The band… came out brutalizing the crowd with Anselmo’s growling harsh lyrics and the pounding rhythmic metal sound the band deals out. Jimmy Bower and Kevin Bond were on top of their game producing shrieking and wailing guitars matched with the thundering rhythm section of Stephen Taylor on bass and José Gonzales pounding on the drums. With SUPERJOINT favorites like, ‘Everyone Hates Everyone,’ ‘The Introvert’ and ‘Fuck Your Enemy,’ fans were pounding their fists and banging their heads in unison…”
