TOXIC HOLOCAUST: New Track Unleashed At Loudwire

Chemistry Of Consciousness, the imminent new full-length from Portland metal punks, TOXIC HOLOCAUST, is easily among the most anticipated offerings of 2013 and what better way to celebrate its looming takeover than with a new track premiere courtesy of mega metal portal, Loudwire!

The third track from Chemistry Of Consciousness, “Rat Eater” is an ornery outpouring of diseased discontent. Laced with punishing riff tirades and enough vocal venom to level a nation, the track literally seethes under the weight of its own sonic belligerence. Elaborates band mastermind Joel Grind “‘Rat Eater’ is a song about paranoia. The track mixes in a lot of the elements from all eras of TOXIC HOLOCAUST but updating it with a wall of noise guitar sound. Definitely straddling the line between punk and metal with this one.”

Lay your Thursday to waste with “Rat Eater,” now playing at Loudwire, at THIS LOCATION.

If you missed it, you can still feel the burn of “Out Of The Fire,” currently streaming at MetalSucks, HERE.

Recorded by the band, mixed with Kurt Ballou (Converge) at GodCity Studio and mastered by Brad Boatright (Sleep, From Ashes Rise, Nails) at Audiosiege Engineering, Chemistry Of Consciousness is an honest and debauched fusion of punk-propelled animosity and maniacal guitar hooks that raises its beer can to the likes of Anti-Cimex, Warfare, Infernal Majesty, GBH, Discharge, Autopsy and Chaos UK. Suitable dubbed “…the aural equivalent of a cobra with a chest tattoo of a double helix and syringes for fangs getting ready to strike amidst two flesh-like walls of anxious, bloodshot eyes,” by MetalSucks, Chemistry Of Consciousness is inarguably the most crushing album – both sonically and lyrically — of TOXIC HOLOCAUST‘s career.

Chemistry Of Consciousness will drop in North America on October 29 (October 25 in Benelux/DE/Finland and October 28 in UK/World) on CD, LP and digitally. Preorder packages are available now. Point your browser HERE.

TOXIC HOLOCAUST mutated into existence in 1999, when Joel Grind merged his love for classic punk and metal into his ideal band. Like his influences – Bathory, Venom, English Dogs, Possessed, Broken Bones – TOXIC HOLOCAUST offers up blazing riffs, gravel-throated vocals, and a deadly fixation on the evil in man and a post-apocalyptic world wrapped in a DIY attitude.
