New York City classic/hard rock outfit TEN TON MOJO was just featured on the massive Humans Of New York photoblog, following the recent release of a live album and subsequent new single.

Conjured on the streets, on the stages and in the studios of New York City, emerges TEN TON MOJO – the new classic rock, where bluesy southern soul meets the glory of rock ‘n’ roll. Uniting lead vocalist/harmonica player Dave Anthony, guitarists Scott Lano and Christian Realmuto, bassist/vocalist Kenny Madden, and drummer/vocalist Paul “Sugar” Kane, the band represents the rebirth of real American rock, with hip-shaking rhythms and streetwise guitars blending to create memorable hard rock anthems. Dave Anthony states, “This band started to embrace our roots and to give back to the fans who’ve been wanting this…and we’re always determined to do it our way.”

TEN TON MOJO has captivated a strong fanbase by creating musical energy which has yet to otherwise be experienced in the 21st century. The band has shared the stage with the likes of with Quiet Riot, Blacktop Mojo, KIX, John 5, The Supersuckers, Texas Hippie Coalition, The Blues Vultures, Molly Hatchet, Jane Lee Hooker, Enuff Z’nuff, Spread Eagle, Mike Tramp (White Lion), Circus Of Power, the late Scott Weiland, and many others, having performed on countless stages, including NYC’s legendary Gramercy Theatre, Irving Plaza, and Bowery Ballroom, as well as The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, The Viper Room in Hollywood, the Easyrider Rodeo Tour, and everywhere in between.

In May, TEN TON MOJO released a live record, All Access Live, recorded in June of 2023 at NYC’s Gramercy Theatre. Featuring background vocals from Lizzie Edwards, Crystal Durant, and Jana Peri, the set was recorded off the board, mixed, and mastered by Don Hanna, with art direction by Kyle W. Brauer and live photography by Alan Rand.

The live release was followed directly by the powerful new “Rebel Heart Gypsy Soul” single and a corresponding video, which showcases the band’s current direction with their newest material. The song was recorded at IIWII Studios in Weehawken, New Jersey, engineered by Billy Perez, mixed and mastered by Max Norman, and features background vocals provided by Dana “Danger” Athens and Tara Lorin, Hammond B3 and Wurlitzer by Billy Perez, and additional percussion, art direction, and video by Kyle W. Brauer.
