“…corrosive noise rock with shades of metallic hardcore…” – Metal Injection
Metal Injection is hosting the premiere of a lyric video for “Cryptid Divorce Court,” the latest single from INTERCOURSE, preceding their How I Fell In Love With The Void LP, nearing release on Brutal Panda Records.
The self-deprecating Connecticut noise rock band INTERCOURSE – vocalist Tarek Ahmed, guitarist Sean Prior, drummer Caleb Porter and bassist Pete Stroczkowski – has averaged a release per year since forming in 2013, and has kicked against the pricks, power brokers and pissants who make America “great” while tempering their outlook with a self-deprecating look inward.
INTERCOURSE’s How I Fell In Love With The Void delivers ten searing new tracks that merge elements of metallic hardcore into an antagonistic foundation of corrosive noise rock. The album was recorded by Chris Teti (The World Is A Beautiful Place And I Am No Longer Afraid To Die) at Silver Bullet Studios in Burlington, Connecticut. It was mastered by George Richter (Thy Will Be Done) and mixed by Chris Teti and Greg Thomas. The photograph on the album cover was shot by Sherilyn Furneaux (Portrayal Of Guilt) and features exotic dancer Clementine.
With the “Cryptid Divorce Court” lyric video, Ahmed reveals, “This was the last song I finished lyrics for on the album. It has the unfortunate honor of being the first break-up ‘woe is me with my broken heart’ song. I literally just wrote down what was on my mind and called it a day. Divorce isn’t as fun as TV makes it out to be.”
Metal Injection writes, “How I Fell In Love With The Void is their most caustic effort yet, blending corrosive noise rock with shades of metallic hardcore across ten blistering tracks.”

How I Fell In Love With The Void will be released on LP with multiple limited variants as well as CD, MC, and digitally on September 12th. Preorders are live at the Brutal Panda store HERE. INTERCOURSE will rip through the Central US alongside Nerver on their first run of tour dates in support of the album. The tour will begin in Detroit on September 18th and will roll through Cincinnati, Louisville, Memphis, Denton, Oklahoma City, Kansas City, St. Louis, and Chicago before ending the trek in Indianapolis on September 27th.
