AUDITORY ANGUISH: AFA EP From California Death Metal/Metalcore Crew Featuring Guests From Disgrace And Tzompantli Now Streaming; Record Out Tomorrow On Creator-Destructor Records

AFA, the second EP from Southern California’s AUDITORY ANGUISH, is now streaming in its entirety ahead of its release tomorrow on Creator-Destructor Records.

Having brought their crushing blend of death metal-infused metalcore to cities across the West Coast over the past few years, AUDITORY ANGUISH self-released their Tragedies Of Western Existence three-song promo in 2023, followed by the Crime Rituals EP in 2024. Now aligned with Creator-Destructor Records, the band arrives with their new EP, AFA, delivering their most critical material to date. Here, the band’s vast array of influences is infused into a crushing alloy of hardcore/death metal, with everything from Xibalba, Deftones, Trash Talk, and Cannibal Corpse converging to create the DNA of the band’s sound with unrelenting heaviness.

AFA was recorded and mixed at The Pit Recording Studio in Van Nuys, California by Taylor Young (Disgrace, Twitching Tongues, God’s Hate) who also provides additional vocals to “Unrelenting Blade,” while the track “Tierra Santa” features guests from Xibalba offshoot Tzompantli. Mastering was handled by Nick Townsend at Townsend Mastering, and the artwork duties were completed by Rodridgo Morales.

The band states, “We are very proud to present what we believe to be our most cohesive work to date. We think it’s bolder both lyrically and instrumentally with a slight step in a different direction but still with the core of our previous material. We hope people enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed writing.”

AUDITORY ANGUISH has booked a release show for the new record on November 28th in San Fernando. The band will also play a toy drive show in Bakersfield on December 20th.
