Portland, Oregon-based extreme/death metal trio TITHE presents a new video/single for “Burn The Throne Of God,” the newest preview of the band’s impending third LP, Communion In Anguish, nearing September release on Profound Lore Records.
TITHE draws influence from many dimensions of ominous, extreme music and themes to manifest their distinctive, hypnotic, grinding, death metal. Composed of vocalist/guitarist Matt Eiseman, vocalist/bassist Alex Huddleston, and drummer Kevin Swartz, the trio converges to create an arrangement even larger than the sum of its parts.
Expanding upon their acclaimed 2023-released Inverse Rapture LP, with Communion In Anguish, TITHE amps up the aggression and doubles down on the unrelenting atmosphere of its predecessor. The new addition of Alex Huddleston’s lower register growls combines with Eiseman’s distressed wails and Swartz’ driving rhythms to push the band into new sonic territory. Featuring artwork by Mitchell Nolte and produced/engineered by Keith Merrow at Merrowsound Studios, Communion In Anguish is the culmination of TITHE’s previous work, and it delivers with a honed and lethal sound.
The new video for “Burn The Throne Of God” was written, directed, and edited by a Alyssa Maucere. TITHE’s Matt Eiseman reveals, “‘Burn The Throne Of God’ tells the story of my neighbor and friend drinking himself to death. The video shows the horrors of what severe alcoholism can look like.”

TITHE continues playing live in support of the album, with a hometown show with Conan and Mares Of Thrace coming up on September 18th, and a run of dates with Hallucinator taking them through Eugene, Oakland, Sacramento, and Eureka November 6th through 9th having just been announced.
