FUZZ EVIL: New Track From Self-Titled Debut LP By Arizona Stoner Metal Trio Playing At Decibel Magazine; Preorders Available

With the self-titled debut LP from Arizona’s FUZZ EVIL just over the horizon through Battleground Records later this month, Decibel Magazine is hosting an early listen to the psychedelic flow of the album’s fourth track, “Bring Them Through.”

Formed in Sierra Vista in 2014, FUZZ EVIL is a riff propelled power trio founded by brothers Wayne and Joseph Rudell, also of heavy desert stoners Powered Wig Machine. On their first full-length, FUZZ EVIL serves up a thunderous blast of rock and roll reverie indebted to the likes of MC5, The Stooges, Black Sabbath, and Clutch, swirling and psychedelically enhanced with storylines spun from the mind’s eye of vocalist/guitarist Wayne Rudell and his obsession with comic books, science fiction, and cult cinema. From the opening crunch of “Good Medicine,” which features Unida/House Of Broken Promises’ Arthur Seay, to the progressively harbingered closer, “Black Dread,” Fuzz Evil flows like the diaries of a cosmic nomad. Recorded, mixed, and mastered at Primrose Studio by Brian Gold, the album is fitted with appropriately mind-altering cover artwork handled by bassist Joseph Rudell’s co-owned GhostTown Graphic Art.

“The riffs lead the listener through a psychedelic progression on ‘Bring Them Through,’ rounded out by trancelike vocals and guitar solo,” issues Decibel with their premiere of the tune. It continues, “Arizona’s self-proclaimed bringers of the ‘fuzzapocalypse’ pay their respects to the forebearers of the genre like Black Sabbath and The Stooges, but FUZZ EVIL are plenty impressive in their own respect.”
