Having mercilessly dropped their Slaves Beyond Death LP through Southern Lord at the end of September, BLACK BREATH now adds their impending participation in the Blood Mantra Across North America Tour with Decapitated and Theories to their upcoming live actions in support of the record.

First up, next week the BLACK BREATH horde will take on the Pacific Northwest on a mini-tour running from December 17th through the 20th, with shows in Seattle, Walla Walla, Spokane and Vancouver, joined by Skelator on all but the final show. December 30th sees the band close out the year with a one-off show in Bellingham supporting Red Fang.

BLACK BREATH will then kick off 2016 with a special release of their own brand of beer! Thorugh the guidance of Portland-based powerhouse, McMenamins Breweries, a Black Breath Cascadian Dark Ale will be put into production this month, and the suds will pour forth in a brutal deluge onto the local populous on January 13th as BLACK BREATH performs a special beer release show in Portland with Hellshock and Usnea.

Kicking into heavy duty tour gear two weeks later, BLACK BREATH will take part in the Blood Mantra Across North America Tour with Decapitated and Theories. From January 27th through February 6th, the caravan will storm across the continent with shows in Denver, Des Moines, Minneapolis, Chicago, Cleveland, Toronto, Quebec City, New York, Philadelphia and Frederick before BLACK BREATH splits off to head out west. Expect additional tour dates to be announced for their trek back to Seattle in the coming days.

Surely one of 2015’s extreme music underground highlights, the third full-length massacre from Seattle, Washington’s BLACK BREATH proves why these d-beat death warriors have been a highly-sought resource among fans and critics alike since their inception. Recorded with Kurt Ballou (Converge) at GodCity and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Nails, Integrity, Obituary), Slaves Beyond Death shows the quintet’s groove-entrenched and hardcore-drenched death metal with even harsher, bleaker tones than ever before, with fifty-minutes of adrenalized oppressiveness.

Noisey offers of the new LP, “While none of us are truly beyond death’s grip, BLACK BREATH‘s lethal cocktail of ripping thrash, fetid death metal, and bloody hardcore would make an excellent soundtrack for whatever fucked-up activity eventually lands you in the morgue–and whatever hellish afterlife you may skid down into next.” Metal Injection issues how, “Slaves Beyond Death does actually sound a bit different from BLACK BREATH‘s previous two entries. The piece is rawer and sounds like it has the bass kicked back a bit. It’s like it exposes some flesh and cuts a little slower. BLACK BREATH is the kind of band that evolves at its own pace and Slave Beyond Death brings out some of their thickest, strongest writing yet. The album feels demented and brews an almost perfect mixture of the melodic/progressive and thrash-y crusty death metal.” Invisible Oranges issued, “The band’s newer bleaker outlook reflects a more gnarled kind of songwriting. They’ve jettisoned all the energizing instant-mosh riffs and lyanthropunk drum patterns that characterized their first two records.” BraveWords praises the band for, “hitting that sweet spot between Kurt Ballou-produced noisy metallic hardcore and old-school Swedish death just right,” also reporting how their “stomp will remind you why Entombed ruled so hard in ’91 and will give you that same feeling that listening to classic Entombed records did, a rare thing indeed.”
