Their latest high-octane thrash/hardcore output closing a six-year gap between releases, CROSS EXAMINATION comes out flailing and impaling with the Dawn Of The Dude EP, its seven new tracks barely hitting the thirteen-minute mark and packing more balls and bong-rips than virtually any comparable contemporary groups. Your brains will simply leak from your blown-open ear canals as you bang your head’s filler into fluid to the perpetually rabid beats, the material featuring even more rasping, schizoid/hyper vocals and a pummeling crusty edge.
As Chicago-based Organized Crime Records this week releases Dawn Of The Dude, Decibel Magazine is now hosting an exclusive stream of the entire brain-bashing EP alongside a conversation with Cross Exam Dan on the band’s current status, a discussion (with visual proof) of why the band self proclaims “We are bad at vans,” and more.
