SANNHET: Instrumental Trio Drops Digital Single, Now Playing At Pitchfork

Blackened post-metal trio, SANNHET, this week releases a brand new digital single entitled Lions Eye, now playing at Pitchfork.

Featuring two beautifully crushing works from the Brooklyn, New York-based outfit, the succinct but compelling digital-only release contains the songs,”Lions Eye” and “You Thy __,” both recorded by Brendan Tobin (Made Out Of Babies, Red Sparrows) at his Ice Cream Audio, and mastered by Carl Saff. SANNHET has been performing the songs as part of their live set for the past year, and wanted to put them to tape as to segue the gap between their acclaimed 2013 debut LP, Known Flood, and pending sophomore album coming in 2014. Lions Eye is being released in conjunction with the band’s friends at Sacrament Music/Saint Vitus Bar, responsible for the release of the Known Flood LP, which was subsequently joined by a CD version via Consouling Sounds. Stated the band on the new material, “These two songs are a little taste of what we’ve been working on since Known Flood. We think this release showcases a bit more of the raw intensity people have come to expect from our live shows over the past year.”

Tune in and drop out to Lions Eye now at Pitchfork RIGHT HERE.

Lions Eye is available now via Bandcamp HERE.

The band also just recently released the second in an ongoing trio of videos, for “Slow Ruin,” hailing from their Known Flood LP, viewable at Noisey, HERE. The third and final installment in the series is under construction for release in the coming months.

More info on all pending works from SANNHET will be delivered as they become available.
