WHITE WIDOWS: BrooklynVegan Streams Debut Album For Release Date

The self-titled debut release from WHITE WIDOWS — a Brooklyn metal quintet formed by members of Cleanteeth, The Destro, Grudges and Primitive Weapons — is out now via Sacrament Music. Following an exclusive Pitchfork premiere of the album’s clock-cleaning closing track, “Collateral Damage” for its official release on Friday, today the full album has been let out of its cage via BrooklynVegan, perfectly summing up the album as “90s-influenced hardcore with parts that would sound at home on on a Crowbar or Pantera effort.”

Stream White Widows from start to crushing finish now.

WHITE WIDOWS will storm Brooklyn’s The Acheron with Pittsburgh crust warriors Heartless this Saturday night, followed by a pair of shows with cohorts Mutilation Rites and Seattle deathbeaters Black Breath in Brooklyn and Philly this April.

WHITE WIDOWS Shows:
3/09/2013 Acheron – Brooklyn, NY w/ Heartless
4/20/2013 Knitting Factory – Brooklyn, NY w/ Black Breath, Mutilation Rites
4/21/2013 O’Reily’s – Philadelphia, PA w/ Black Breath, Mutilation Rites

Formed by drummer Kenny Appell (Goes Cube, Cleanteeth), bassist Brian Ponto, guitarists Nick Emde (The Destro) and Travis Bacon (Grudges), and vocalist David Castillo (Primitive Weapons, Saint Vitus Bar, Sacrament Music), WHITE WIDOWS merges NYC-style metallic hardcore and Southern sludge metal elements and production into mid-paced metallic grooves, slow-motion breakdowns and high-paced pit-swinging melees, recorded with Dean Baltulonis at the Wild Arctic in Portsmouth, New Hampshire (Agnostic Front, Sick Of It All, Most Precious Blood, Goes Cube).
