REVOCATION continues to tour in support of their latest full-length, The Outer Ones, released last September via Metal Blade Records. Produced by Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Queensrÿche, Whitechapel, etc.), The Outer Ones finds REVOCATION pushing both the death metal and progressive elements of their signature sound harder than ever. “I knew that I wanted to go in a darker direction, and this is our most death metal album to date,” states vocalist/guitarist Dave Davidson. “Sometimes when death metal bands go down the prog route, they lose some of that edge, but we wanted to keep the aggression at the forefront of what we do while still pushing our boundaries.”

“There’s no denying this record. It’s complex in a way that metal fans can understand, but that complexity is based on a deep understanding of music theory.” – Heavy Blog Is Heavy

“While REVOCATION are always evolving and perfecting their laser-tight sound, The Outer Ones is a step above what they’ve done in the past. The band sounds more at peace with what they are than ever before and have struck gold with the direction their taking.” – Exclaim

“Rather than feel like an overwhelming onslaught, the band balance their progressive tendencies and weighty cosmic concepts with a strong sense of melody. There’s a lot going on, but the melodic guitar lines, especially in the form of solos (‘The Outer Ones,’ ‘A Starless Darkness’), provide ballast that allows the band to wade into even the most uncharted waters.” – Now Toronto

“Where lesser artists would have fallen off into creative slumps by now – twice – REVOCATION defy all odds by creating some truly refreshing music. Every minute is eventful, every element laid with such care and intelligence, and it’ll invade your mind with catchiness like an intergalactic brain bug… Don’t sleep on for this.” – Everything Is Noise
